Against all odds, alone and afraid, on the cold dark map of Dead Rail an unsung hero emerged.  We (_Rocket and I) had taken the flanking route to get to the South side if of the map.  We had little resistance but soon got caught by the leaders of their attack.  Rocket leading the charged, shot the E 50 twice, two on the E75, and one snapshot in their M103.  He was soon enflamed when their E75 had gotten behind him and ended his life too soon, but I had avenged him seconds after.  Once this Happened I noticed my team had vanquished, and I had to act fast against 4 reds converging on me at full speed, and I had I my 550 health.  I had gotten hull down on the south end of the map and prepared for the worst.  Their E 50, a one shot was approaching speedily and I destroyed him.  Next their kv-4 and is-8 continued rolling toward me, me with my 20 pdr and them their 122 mm.  I had targetted the is-8 while the m103's sniping shots flew by my turret.  I had gotten him to a one shot when his shot penetrated me dropping me to a one shot.  I killed him soon after, but it was only gettig started when their KV-4 started chasing me (thankfully for the hills or I woulda been toast) and I took him down full health, then the worst happened he leveled out and shot,  but he missed and I soon sent packing.  Then all that was left was their m103, a one shot.  I found him and shot right through his campfire marshmallows destroying him.          This was the most Intense battle I have been in in the centurion 1 and the most rewarding.

What I witnessed was the most majestic epic tanking ever to have been played in this game!

This was a religious experience.

With that paper tank it takes some doing!  Excellent game!

Team mates, please help me by reading Lert's excellent guide to basic tanking.

Nicely done! The Centurion has low alpha damage but a good rate of fire. You must have been very active and accurate to deal so much damage. :medal:

Wow, nice game. Didn't know it was possible to do 5K damage with a Centurion I, especially with that many tier 9s in the game. Wouldn't take too many hits from an IS8 or m103 to ruin you. My personal best is 3700 in the centurion 1, and I think I was physically sweating at the end of that game.

Great game!  That is to be really commended considering the armor is constantly trolling the driver of the Cent.

Beautiful job. You beat my 4541 in Centurion Mk 1. 40 shots in game! Nice. Thank god for drunk Russian gunners missing you in that kv4! What's more epic is your story telling! An entertaining read sir! o7

Lunbar's battle was really something I have never seen in this game. I contributed effectively nothing. As I sat and watched I thougt he was dead meat. A Centurion I, LOL. TOTAL JUNK!  His shots where 150 avg. dmg. rolls, LOL. Against far superior FULL hp higher Teir tanks. We where on TS, I spoke no words. It was like in baseball when a pitcher is throwing a perfect game. You just let him sit at the end of the bench.

You can read the account. It is as occurred. I just wanted to add this.

1. Any tank from any Teir can win. The Art of War, great book. "Know yourself, know your enemy, win every time". If you follow this half the threads on this Forum would be gone.

2. Never accept Defeat. Never quit and never Surrender.

3. What makes this game great it to be part of something we all search for. That one moment that comes when you believe that all the time you spend in the game comes together to have a win like Lunbar. It was the "Rudy" moment.

4. Find a way to record your matches. His battle may have been one of the Greatest to ever been played on Blitz. Gone forever. It is sad.

So when you want to start a thread about bad MM. Ask yourself this.

Do I know myself, my tank? Do I know my enemy, there tank?

When your the last tank in the match remember Lunbar54, start chanting "Rudy......Rudy.......Rudy".

Because next time it could be you.

For anyone who thinks the Centurion Mk. Juan is bad, look at this.
