Imma get this out rq- t10 is my favorite tier and the most balanced tier in my opinion,

however literally every game is a full 3 td game- usually with a 183, a grille , a 268  or a hori 

it's not limited to t10 either - t8 is infested with isus, borsigs 130pms and not to mention 704/ waffles at t9

you cant do anything in these games you initiate a push u get clicked; you sidecrape/ hulldown and u get clicked by HE - or get memed by rectile calibration & rng  - or you get outspotted by a bushwanker and nuked and you cant even HE them back cause spall liner  

it's like playing whack a mole - but you're the mole

the result of this is teams cowering in spawn and give up all map control willingly and you either push into key positions and get yoloed cuz all of your team is sitting in spawn or you get crossfired from three different directions and die instantly.

Not to mention you get completely no farm ffrom these games- either the enemy gets yoinked by your tds and you get no farm or the game becomes a massive stalemate bc no one wants to poke

so two things:

 

1. Teams comprise of seven players. If you limit a class, which I think they already do, then something else has to fill the gap. I don’t want more heavies. And I don’t want big queue times. 
 

2. to a certain extent, the fact that TDs force heavy players to slow down actually creates a vacuum in which meds and lights can operate. otherwise heavies would be roaming around without a care in the world.

feels like a recipe for disaster.  My gut tells me that this cure would be worse than the condition.

Short term pain for long term gain. 
1) WG would be force to address some elephants in the room for class balance. 
2) Since you can’t rely on the type matching, astute players will play more jack of all trades tanks. 
3) Will require on the fly adapting to best plan for the team compositions.  
4) All Hail Chaos theory ;)

While being paired up against 7 heavies in a team of lights and mediums would be very painful (had that happen on himmelsdorf once back in the early days), it does sound kinda fun compared to the slow slugfest we see today.

I've been seeing a few battles with heavies and tds on one team and the other team has at least a med or a lite.

This requires someone to spot and some heavies are just not made for that. Needless to say what the outcome was.

Many heavies can spot - part of the problem currently. 
  But yes the current MM Rule can see 1 light and 1 med on one team and none on the others. 
 
Solution currently is to to either play lights. Meds or mobile heaviums, or put your faith in your team…

Honestly, I'd love it if WG removed class matching for a day just to see the chaos of 7 Jg.E100s vs 7 FV215b 183s

TDs need a limit of only one or two per team, and other tank types don’t need a limit at all.

Heavy tanks spotting is very astute, begs the question of why the moronic HP buff to Heavy/Super Heavy tanks?

I remember (not fondly) “back in the day” when there was no mm for class, type, etc. Terrible imbalances with 1 team getting more top tier tanks, 1 team getting 4 Tier X TD’s and the other 4 Tier VIII tanks etc…

When I was still playing PC, Arty spam was capped by WG, and TD spam became a thing.  I can't remember if they ever found a solution to TD spam, but I'd rather deal with that than Arty spam.

 

But in a 7v7 environment, 3 of any tank class per team kind of sucks, its almost half of what you'll be fighting.

Heavies are a much bigger problem IMO than TDs.

Honestly the tier imbalance was the major issue. 
  5 tier X 2 tier 9 on red versus 2 tier 9 and 5 tier 8 on green. 
That lead me to ‘Go Home MM You’re DRUNK’ as a hot key. 

 

I never minded the type imbalance.

The possibilities for map positions, deployments etc are exponential if we could just get the player base to stop whining about match making. The more “balance” you get the more sameness you get.
I’d be fine with 7 (blind) tds on red. Not only then would metas be upended but also I think it would require tankers to focus on their roles within the battle.
