Hey! So I am an NA player, and I created an EU account. I choose to pick the American TT ( tech tree )

I was wondering if I should get the M4 or T1 Heavy?

If you are looking just at tier 5, the T1 Heavy is a broken my dominant heavy in that tier.
While the E5 is sitting in a rather castrated state currently the T29, T32 and M103 are also solidly over performing tanks.

If you like meds, the US Med line is great - but if this is your original NA account, you might not be well suited to Meds at this point.

Yea. As a new player I would go for the T1 Heavy and do the whole heavy line. The Tier 10 is a little underwhelming but still solid even after the nerf.

The M4 also leads to a good line but there a few duds along the branch like the T20 and to an extent the M46 Patton. If you’re brand new, don’t even think of doing that line until you’ve done a few others. My recommendations are the IS-7 or IS-4, possibly the 60TP as well.

I said to an extent. It’s got some really bad things but some really good ones too.

It all depends on how you want to play… the slow, cautious heavy way is how everyone plays at higher tiers because that’s the meta WG has created to keep the inexperienced playing and interested. If he wants to learn something he should go the medium route. (M4 probably not the best medium to do that with though) Otherwise, he’ll just end up in the same boat as everyone else. You gotta learn to play something besides a heavy to understand what it takes to win on your own.

I killed an M6 this morning for a win with my AMXmas. He was 3/4 health and I had 71 hps, I had to reload and reset camo twice to do it but I wasn’t worried, that’s how slow an M6 is. It was no contest because he couldn’t put his gun on me, I could outspot him, and he was too slow.

It all depends on what you like, both lines are fine.

The M4 Sherman is better in the hands of an experienced player due to the better gun depression and mobility while having a great turret armor profile, but the T1 will be the go-to in most cases.
