Battle went well obviously, 5009 damage and 2 reds for this Ace. Also, 185K in credits was welcome. But this tank drives me crazy, primarily for its horrific aiming. I know Russian tanks are well known for this, but at least for me, IS-5 stands out, especially since it's a premium tank. I have no feel of a premium when running it.

Then don't play it like a Prem in front lines expecting to bounce shots, your lower plate is weak AF and it can be penned by anything. Play it like a normal tech tree heavy and see how well you perform. That's all the advice I can really give you, I myself haven't gotten it yet, mostly because haven't got around to buying the gold to get the tank, a friend has had it but he seemed to have the same problems just didn't complain about them (no offense). Again, try playing lit like a tech tree stock heavy and see your results.

I pretty much play same as is-3, seems to work fine.

I really don't like playing with the IS 5, I think it's a bad tank compared to other premuims in its category, but despite all that, 1500 gold on a tier 8 tank is still worth it.
You get what you pay for.
