Can anyone explain why the T32   armour drops so much? The T29 front turret armour is 279 (mm) but the T32 has 114(mm) frontal turret armour? Why dose it drop?

Turret armor drops but hull armor is better if I remember correctly.

Different design, sir.

Yeah, when you see the turret of the 29 vs the 32, they are much different looking. Hence, the drop.

Unifying TRIARII factors:

1.How much money we've spent on this game (not to mention the new parking garage required for all of our M 60's)

2. The amount of alcohol consumed while playing tanks.

3. How much fun we have with, and at the expense of, each other

It's because that's the stock turret. The elite turret raises the thickness more than the T29's.

The T32 is basically a heavy tank version of the Pershing. The stock T32 turret is very weak and it is recommended to free xp it, as you cannot hull-down until you get the upgraded turret and everything at your tier can own the hull and stock turret.

Max up the T32 you got. It has great maneuverability, fire rate and penetration shots. Also I recommend you to always hide your hull (hull down) bbehind rocks as always because this tank is smaller than the large T29 target so its easier to protect yourself from large targets. Though you will soon regret having the M103. it has like a 4x larger cupola that can be benned easily and its front turret is round like a potato but you can hit this spot easily with a tier 7-8 tank whih is ez. The hull plate is stronger in the M103 though.

I have never hit the front turret of a 103 with any of my Tier 7's.

Discounting the cupola, several tier VIIs have a chance of penning the 103's cheeks with AP (Panther, T-29, Tigers, JagdPanther, T-25 AT) and most can pen the cheeks with premium ammo. That's straight on, if it angles at all, it becomes easier to pen. I've always found it super soft and easy to damage, but if they wiggle and keep moving, it can be tougher since most weak spots are pretty small. It's definitely not a stationary hull down fortress like the T-29, T-34 and T-32 can be.
