Best thing to do would be to venture onto their Discord and go to the devs answers channel, it lists all the changes. Or use BH. Keep in mind some of the alpha changes (Badger, E100, VK72, Waffle, Borsig, AMX 50 120, AC 48, Foch, and E3) are just bugs.
It's interesting to see their motives. Tier 10 tanks now are going to have "more clear strengths and weaknesses" meaning many of them are being balanced to be more extreme in terms of their characteristics. However overall Tier 10 now feels even less homogeneous, as so many tanks are being changed there is now a lot more variety particular in the 105 mm armed mediums, which now are less of a group of similar vehicles with small differences, rather a group of vehicles with each one distinct from the other.
I previously shunned the changes, but as nearly every single Tier 10 will be changed we really don't know what the meta will be and I'm very excited to play some tanks after the update. It's safe to say heavies will not be dominating all the time though, and we'll have light tanks be more like their actual class instead of being borderline mediums. Lots of changes to tank destroyers too, to vary them from each other particularly in their alpha damage among the 150-155 mm caliber guns (Ho-Ri gets 560, Grille has 600, E3 has 680, E4 has 640, 268 has 670, Foch has 560, WZ has 640). That's 5 different alpha damages among 7 tanks, which I think is a neat thing to do. Light tanks are all getting blanket HP nerfs and some are getting viewrange nerfs, and the Batchat is getting Spall Liner (
) for some reason when it already has troll armor...?
Most of the changes in my opinion are for the better in particular making the only truly fast heavies ones with little armor, so IS-7s won't be terrorizing mediums anymore...however I am not 100 percent happy. The 50B really did get massacred and has a much higher skill ceiling, and the problem is made even worse by the addition of Shell Reload Boost and Gunpowder (for some reason?) on nearly ALL OTHER Tier X autoloaders except the 50B and TVP, and the latter is getting a 1.5 second interclip reload! More tanks getting super consumables is definitely bad, so it doesn't really balance out the removal of other super consumables from the E5, WZ-113GFT, etc. Adding super consumables is bad balancing, ESPECIALLY when the 907 and 121B are getting them while comparable tech tree tanks are not.
Oh, and the E5 is gaining weight and getting its IEPB being removed so the buff to 42kph isn't very noticeable. Also the DPM stays the same...however thankfully the turret traverse speed was buffed and the gun handling is fantastic now.
If no super consumables were added in this update, I would be much happier.
