I absolutely despise the new Las Vegas atmosphere of the game. The Slot machine sounds are annoying, the side objectives/contests whatever you call them are, to me, confusing, distracting, and I frankly don't understand them. And winning them seems to be impossible.  I have played 3 weeks and have not earned a single coin, but if you have to buy them, what is the point?   The new 4 week contest I don't even look at anymore because the objectives are so specified.  I am so annoyed by the carnival-style front end that I am playing less and less. There are so many options and objectives, that I don't even care if I finish the weekly 600 points. 

Wondering if it is just me, I have included a poll because I can't imagine I am the only one turned off by the new fru-fru.

I'm with you, the cosmetics are god-awful. Feels more like one of those cheap casino games than a game about tanks.

Ha! I mention this in my forthcoming video. I call it “Dr. Disinterested and the Garish Garage”. 

 

The years of Blitz being targeted toward adults is long gone.

Events like the current Operation Arcade Arena don’t really interest me anymore since you don’t really win or earn anything without paying for it upfront anyway. It appears most items you so-called “win/earn” you can buy outright in the store or at some later time. 
 

It hardly seems like a reward-achieving event if you have shell out the geetus in order to receive it in the first place. Seems like you were able to receive some items without forking over the $5 and/or $20 bucks, in the past.
But I guess WG figured we were getting to fat and spoiled with resources, so that and the access to vault credits, xp and gold per each win disappeared into the ether as well. 

 

I’ve participated for a while but the last couple of events have kinda soured me just knowing I’m not really earning anything by progressing through the stages, I’m just buying my way through the event. The camo designs don’t really impress me that much either, since they have taken on more garish appearances it seems. I would prefer a bit authentic approach, personally.

 

I’m sure it’s fine for whomever decides to participate but for me personally I think I’m done paying for something I wasn’t necessarily looking to buy anyway. 
It’s like when I go to Walmart with my wife and grab something off the shelf and she asks…

 

“Do you really need that?”  < her

 

me>  “Uh…probably not.”

 

Botton line…there’s plenty of other resources to throw my money at in this game. WG has made sure of that!

I like that I had 4 “events” going at once, but that’s just lazy on WG, why not add one more go for a full 5?

ITA it's become like a kiddies game and I feel like I'm at a carnival or circus
