New Way to Play Open regulations

The New Way to Play Open starts on July 28. Any clan team can take part in the tournament! You can earn credits, free XP, days of the premium account, certificates for Emerald Radiance camouflage, and the special avatar Junior. The top 8 teams will get the tickets to the New Way to Play Final and compete for $10,000.

Participants of this tournament could not participate in other tournaments which take place at the same time. 

The team will be able to register for the New Way to Play Final only if all participants belong to the same clan and have a special tickets that the system will credit after the end of the New Way to Play Open.

 

 

General Requirements

Vehicle tiers: X.

Registration period: from July 24, 4:00 PM (PT) / 7:00 PM (ET) to July 28, 4:00 PM (PT) / 7:00 PM (ET).

Battles dates: July 28 and 29.

Battles start: July 28, 6:00 PM (PT) / 9:00 PM (ET).

Control mode: touch.

Maximum number of teams: 64.

Number of players in a team: 7 main players plus up to 3 backup players.

Battle time: 7 minutes.

Battle type: Supremacy.

Interval between battles: 2 minutes.

  • If the minimum required number of team members (players) does not turn up for the battle at the set time, the match will be recognized as lost for this team.
  • A special room for conducting matches will be automatically created 5 minutes prior to the first battle. Check the Notifications section for the invitation.
  • Team membership is fixed and cannot be changed before the end of the tournament.

 

Main provisions of the rules:

  1. The Player must be a resident of one of the countries bound to the respective Gaming Regions where the Game accounts of the Players are registered (Gaming Region classification). Each team can contain up to 2 players that don’t conform to this rule. In case of violation of this rule, the team loses 100% of the prize.
  2. No insults in the game client against Players, Teams, Tournament Organizers, its employees, and Streamers of tournament matches are allowed. Any behavior that could be considered by the Tournament Organizer as offensive, affecting the image of the Team and the Tournament Organizer, is prohibited. In case of a violation of this Rule, the offending player and/or team captain may lose 50% of the prize pool (and all unique awards, including avatars, profile background, tanks, medals, camouflages) for each stage for this Tournament.
  3. Players must observe the principles of fair play and the sportsmanship of the competition. Any actions of the player that do not comply with these principles shall be treated as unsportsmanlike conduct and may cause punishment for the player for all Tournament duration, as well as complete forfeiture of the Team prize pool.
  4. There shall be no breach of the Game Rules and other rules of the License Agreement.
  5. It is prohibited to intentionally mislead the Tournament Organizer or other Players using knowingly false information. This violation may cause punishment for the player.
  6. Players must observe the principles of fair play.
  7. It is forbidden to participate in the Tournament using a gaming account registered to another Player.
  8. Any modification of the Game client during the Tournament with the purpose of gaining a gaming advantage is prohibited.
  9. Any arrangements between Players and/or Teams for the purpose of gaining a gaming advantage are prohibited. Collusion shall include, but is not limited to, the following cases:
    • Arranging an agreement or any form of negotiations on the outcome or score of a Match.
    • A deliberately passive play for the purpose of achieving the desired outcome of a Match or deliberate sabotage of the Team's actions for the purpose of achieving the desired outcome of a Match.
  10. It is forbidden to intentionally use any errors (bugs) or failures of the Game with the purpose of gaining a gaming advantage.
  11. The organizer can prohibit participation of team and/or player in this tournament based on violation(s) of previous tournaments regulation. Violation evaluation is held by the Organizer. Organizer decision regarding team and/or player is final and can't be appealed.

 

Possible re-match and match rescheduling:

Circumstances for re-match, cancellation, or postponement of matches are determined by the Tournament Organizer. The organizer reserves the right to change the start time and date of matches, as well as to replay individual matches in a number of situations:

  • In the case of massive technical problems of server nature during the Tournament matches.
  • In the event that the holding of matches at a specified time carries a risk of technical stability of the Tournament.
  • In the case of a technical failure in the calculation of the results of matches.
  • In case there was a massive technical failure when creating tournament rooms and sending invitations to players to the match.
  • In case the Tournament matches do not start at the set time.
  • Other situations not specified in the list, but established by the Organizer as sufficient grounds for postponing, canceling, or replaying the Match.

 

Tournament System and Battle Format

The precise start time of matches will be displayed in the game client after the drawing. 

The maps for each round in each stage are randomly determined from this list:

2. Desert Sands.
3. Middleburg.
4. Mayan Ruins.
5. Fort Despair.
6. Oasis Palms.
7. Black Goldville.
8. Winter Malinovka.
9. Castilla.
10. Port Bay.
11. Canal.
12. Vineyards.
13. Naval Frontier.
14. Dynasty's Pearl.
15. Alpenstadt.
16. Faust.
17. Normandy.
18. New Bay.
19. Hellas.
20. Yukon.
21. Ghost Factory.
22. Molendijk.

The system of each stage: Double eliminations, groups up to 4 teams.
The seeding principle in each group: Strongest-Weakest.

The first spawn point is determined randomly by the automatic tournament system. Two battles are held on the same map with the spawn point swapped after the first battle, then the map is changed.

1-2. Teams that win the first round of the Upper Bracket advance to the Upper Bracket finals, the losers fall into the Lower Bracket.
3. The winner of the Upper Bracket final goes to the final of the stage, the loser goes to the Lower Bracket final.
4. Next, the first round of the Lower Bracket is held, the loser is eliminated from the Tournament, the winner goes to the final of the Lower Bracket.
5. The second finalist is determined in the Lower Bracket final: the winner advances, the loser leaves the Tournament.
6. Depending on the stage:
a) the winner of the final advances to the next stage,
b) both finalists advance to the next stage.

► First Stage

Maximum number of groups is 16, the exact number of groups will be known after the registration for the tournament closes. The maximum duration of the stage is 2 hours 10 minutes.

The precise start time of matches will be displayed in the game client after the drawing. Start times of matches in the rules and the actual time may be different.

The format: Bo3 (up to 2 victories). Teams that take 1st and 2nd place in each group go to the next stage.

Matches on July 28 (approximate time):

  • First Upper Bracket round — 6:00 PM (PT) / 9:00 PM (ET). 
  • Upper Bracket Final — 6:30 PM (PT) / 9:30 PM (ET). 
  • First Lower Bracket round — 6:30 PM (PT) / 9:30 PM (ET). 
  • Lower Bracket Final — 7:00 PM (PT) / 10:00 PM (ET). 
  • Final of the first stage — 7:30 PM (PT) / 10:30 PM (ET). 

 

► Second Stage

Maximum number of groups is 8, the exact number of groups will be known after the end of the first stage. The maximum duration of the stage is 3 hours 20 minutes.

The precise start time of matches will be displayed in the game client after the drawing. Start times of matches in the rules and the actual time may be different.

The format: Bo5 (up to 3 victories).  Teams that take 1st place in each group receive tickets to the New Way to Play Final.

Matches on July 29 (approximate time):

  • First Upper Bracket round — 6:00 PM (PT) / 9:00 PM (ET). 
  • Upper Bracket Final — 6:50 PM (PT) / 9:50 PM (ET). 
  • First Lower Bracket round — 6:50 PM (PT) / 9:50 PM (ET). 
  • Lower Bracket Final — 7:40 PM (PT) / 10:40 PM (ET). 
  • Final of the third stage — 8:30 PM (PT) / 11:30 PM (ET). 

 

Streaming

The Organizer reserves the right to add, for any Matches, spectators to one or both Teams for the purpose of streaming Matches. 

 

Prize fund

► First stage

  • I place —  8 200 000 credits, 69 000 free XP per team.
  • II place — 7 200 000 credits, 60 000 free XP per team.
  • III place — 6 200 000 credits, 52 000 free XP per team.
  • IV place — 5 200 000 credits, 45 000 free XP per team.

 ► Second stage

Each player receives the avatar Junior.

  • I place — 9 800 000 credits, 10 tickets to the New Way to Play Final per team, 7 days of premium account, 3 certificates for Emerald Radiance camouflage for each player.
  • II place — 8 600 000 credits per team, 7 days of premium account, 3 certificates for Emerald Radiance camouflage for each player.
  • III place — 7 400 000 credits per team, 7 days of premium account for each player.
  • IV place — 6 200 000 credits per team, 7 days of premium account for each player.

*Rewards will be sent during 14 working days after the end of the tournament.
