Both grind about the same amount of credits but the play-style of the tanks is very different from each other, pick which your more comfortable with.

The IS-6 has a better reload speed at 3.98 but less pen about 131-219 while the t-34 has a tier 10 pen of 186-310 but 3.0 Shots per minute. can't pick

I've seen players with IS-6 play it like a IS-3 and I'm really good with the IS-3. but I'll take more advice before I decide thanks :) +1

I don't think the T34 gets preferential MM.  Last night in the IS-6, I cleared 100k credits after repairs and re-supply.

For tons of credits and lots of wins, T34.

For tons of wins and lots of credits, IS-6.

The IS-6 is much more fun, but the T34 has a slightly higher credit payout.

I prefer KV-5 stronk tenk....I obliterated a VK 30.02M the other day....he backed down the steep hill on copperfield and backed up against the wall (oh dis gunna be gud) so I TEAR DOWN THE SIDE OF THIS HILL (it broke its top speed and went 50kph because of how steep the incline was by the building) and rammed for 700 damage!!!!!!! He was on a sliver of health that my 107 quickly ate up

I have both and I love the is6 more than t34. Plays just like an is3 and is faster and has better reload than t34. Plus gets preferred mm and don't need to go hull down to survive

There needs to be a "toss up" option in the poll, as they are both nearly equal in terms of credit ability.

TL/DR- pick the one best suited to your strength!

I have literally cleared over 100,000 credits after expenses in each.  Technically I'd have to say T-34 is higher because it doesn't have preferential MM, and the payout for doing well in tier X matches is going to be higher.  But practically speaking they are identical BECAUSE of the IS-6 preferential MM, as it is EASIER to do well when you only have to face tier IX tanks.

This brings up the more important question, which is a better fit for me?  I bought the T-34 early, and I have become a better tanker since then, so my win rate is about 56%.  I bought my IS-6 in December, and my win rate is 72%.  While my T-34 win rate improvement from below fifty can be attributed to my improvement as a player, it is not the only reason.  A good potion of the disparity is also how the tanks fit my playing style.

The T-34 is designed for defensive playing.  It is best suited for those who play cautiously, in hull down and longer range engagements.  The turret armor will bounce a lot of tier X shots, except in the cupola (top hatch) which is softer.  The IS-6 is an out and out brawler, with angled armor and good reload time (but gun dispersion is horrendous).  It's armor won't hold up well to higher penetration guns, and the preferential MM is needed to make it successful as a premium.  But is moves quickly and is really good for close in peek a boom tactics and decent in close quarters combat.  As you can probably discern by my writing, and I am not a defensive player.  If you are, go for the T-34, if not, then pick the IS-6.

IMHO, the T-34 needs a slight speed BUFF.  Half the maps on WoT Blitz are too small to make it really shine, but in the bigger maps the T-34 is too slow.  This is an agressive game.  Very rarely have I seen a team decide to pick a spot near spawn and make the enemy come to them.  I've been accused of playing YOLO style, but it's more about getting good position and engaging from favorable terrain. Thos three to five second waits at the start are costly, as is the fact that often tank drivers misplay their roles.  They want their mediums to be TDs, and the TDs to lead from the front like heavies.

Zac.

Hull-down monster + T28's top gun = T34

Stronk Stalinium + IS top gun with even faster ROF = IS-6

The T34 is a beast of a sidescraper too.

I found the t34 to make more credits, especially after higher tier games. The problem with the is-6 IMO is it's armor, I get in a lot of tier 8 matches in it and not a lot of tanks can reliably pen it, since often makes me feel sort of invincible. However at tier 9 it's a different story. You can't pen them as well while they can pen you about 90% of the time. Basically don't let the armor get in your head and play conservably in tier 9 matches.

This is a consideration.. if you go with the is6 you don't want to toon with a tier 8 tank unless it also gets preferential MM.. instead you toon with a tier 7 tank. The T34 does not get the pref MM but it can compete in a tier X game where the IS6 is outclassed, generally speaking.  Some might be able to make it work but it's going to be a real struggle.

I haven't played the IS6 but I've played quite a few matches in the T34 and I do play it somewhat aggressively, especially when platooned so it can be done.. Credit intake is very good..
