Does anyone know of a better screen dust than dried fennel stem?

I used to be a greaser, using coconut oil or olive oil on my thumbs to prevent screen stick and reduce friction on the glass.  Once I discovered the usefulness of powder, I went straight over to dusting.

I'm way beyond using wheat flour at this stage and some users have reported success with dried fennel stem powder.  Is this the best?  Does anyone have a source for dried fennel stem powder? I am making my own with sandpaper and I'm worried about grit contaminating my fennel stem powder. Before you ask, yes I winnow my powder, I'm not an idiot.

Is anything slicker though?

Why would your thumbs stick to your screen? Maybe remove the screen protector cause it's garbage?

If you aren't dusting why are you even playing the game at this point?

What kind of device are you playing on?:teethhappy:

I can't say that I've ever had any problems with my screen and needing to put oil on my fingers or using powder. That just sounds real strange.

I have no idea what this thread is about, but I'm excited to see where it goes.

LOL I am not asking you plebes who are playing on your iPhone 5s with a *SCREEN PROTECTOR*  on it.  OMG.  No wonder the teams have been such trash lately.

I play on a dedicated iPad Air 2 that ONLY plays WOT Blitz and nothing else.  A screen protector cannot improve your gaming it can only come between you and the surface.  That's like dipping your tongue in wax coating right before you eat a steak dinner.  When I game, there is nothing between me and WOT Blitz.

Maybe your fingers don't stick because you aren't invested in WINNING.  I don't know about you, but I get a little sweaty when I'm earning my medals.  Why do rock climbers use talc?  Why do boxers tape their gloves?

Why don't YOU dust?

I'm gonna go with "Because my fingers don't stick to the screen of my iPad Air 2 like someone who eats Cheetos dipped in honey all day".

No seriously, I play on an iPad Air 2 too.  I have a higher win rate and survival rate than you do, so your whole "you aren't invested in winning" dig is moot.  I have no problem with my fingers becoming spontaneously superglued to the screen.  Perhaps you should see a doctor about your overactive sweat gland problem? ;)

I'm not greedy.  I go in early and scout out the reds so I can command the battle using my keyboard after I die.  Look at how many enemy are spotted average.

Dude, I play on an iPad Air 2 also. And no, I don't use any lame screen protectors on any of my devices.

And what's with the "winning" comments? I win more than you, and I don't need to use any powder or oil or talc or any other such things.:teethhappy:

My fingers are so calloused sometimes they can't even get the capacitance touch to work and I too have better stats.  Clearly I should start using crazy powders?

I don't even....

I play on an iPad Air, WITH a screen protector, and I have NEVER had any issue with my thumbs sticking to the screen. I've never had any issues with response times or taping the screen either.  I have never felt that I lost because my thumbs were slow/ sticky. Lag? yes I blame lag for a lot of things but my thumbs? No.

I play on iPad Air.  Click here for my WOT Blitz stats@ wotbstars.com.

Don't play right after you eat something like Cheetos though! I've done that before, and believe me, it's not a good idea. Wash your hands first. :teethhappy:

You just proved my point!

Don't focus on my stats.  I don't claim to be the greatest player in the game, I make mistakes, and I'm often taking screen shots and writing down notes when the battle is raging in order to further my study and improve.  When I do play earnestly I probably get better stats than some of you.  I'm really a 65% win rate player with a muddy account because of the extra-curricular.

If you have *ANY* resistance whatsoever at the interface of your thumb and the touch screen, you are losing efficiency.  This game shouldn't make you cramp up or develop blisters, for crying out loud, dust your screens.

I don't cramp up ever and my callouses are not from playing, they're from working with my hands for a living.  And callouses are pretty hard to develop blisters over :)

Usually a quick rub on the jeans takes the top layer or so off and I get enough capacitance going again for them to work.  Has nothing to do with sticking.

I think this has gotten to the point of overboard. Ok cool, you use powder. Most people probobly don't because they don't want to. It's not this big of.a deal.

I think that 99% of people have never had this problem.

The OP seems to think that this is a common problem, and he's surprised that nobody here has it, while he is actually the 1%.

By the way OP, how do you clean your screen, and what do you use when you clean it?

You're joking right. I don't even know what that is, and I've never had a use for that in my entire life. Google is your friend.
