To continue in my quest to further help WoT Blitz players find the perfect premium Tank, I thought I'd add these types of polls where you could share your experiences. Due to the limit of 6 questions per topic, I'll break down the Tier VIII premium tanks into different polls for different nations (Russian and British tanks will be in a separate poll).  I'll link them all together and also link to them in my Premium Tank Guide in the Guides and Tutorials section. As more premium tanks are added to the game, I'll update the poll. I thought this format might be more useful than a which tank is best because we could argue all day about the merits of the T34 and IS-6. This is also focused on Tier VIII as those tanks are a much bigger investment, though I might add polls for other tiers if people are interested.

The poll is pretty simple, if you have the tank would you recommend it to a friend? If you don't have a tank is it one that looks interesting to you? Now this last question isn't a "would you like to collect this tank" but instead is this a tank you think you might actually go and hit the BATTLE button with. If you don't know if you would recommend a tank or if you might like it, there is the "Other" option.

Why even bother with the Lowe?  It's a steaming pile of excrement.  Let's just call a spade a spade here.

The Lowe is Garbage

The Jagdtiger is pretty decent especially with its high rate of fire

T34 is a horrible tank to make premium, although it's one of my favourite tanks.  You can't YOLO it, and you shouldn't brawl in it.  It's a skill tank certainly, but if you've got skill, my god does this tank shine.

To put it simply, it's the only tank I simply don't give a damn which tier it puts me in.  A tier X map where I am the only non-tier X?

/shrug.  More HPs to harvest.  That gun and that turret, pure win.

On the other hand, if you don't hull down, you die.  If you get swarm rushed, you die.  If you can't aim, you die.  Nothing I hate more than seeing a low skill wallet warrior in a T34, as in the wrong hands, the tank is almost useless.

Don't own and of the others, and the Jagd is the only one I would consider on the list.  Unless the KV comes back out, I'm pretty much full on premiums for now ( M10, AT15, IS6 and T34 ).

T26E4: I've owned it on PC and since they nerfed the crap out of its hull armor, it's been a PoS.

T34: Favorite Tier 8 premium, would recommend to most [I know].

Löwe: I have played it on PC for over 230 battles and since it got pref mm taken away, it's awful. Sold mine.

Jagd. 8,8: Fun tank and a nice credit maker. Recommend.

Tier Xs (in order of unlocking): T110E5, M48 Patton, T-62A, IS-7, E50M, IS-4, FV4202, T110E3, FV215b, Obj. 268, T110E4, Leopard 1, Obj. 140, STB-1, Obj. 263, T57 Heavy, AMX 50B, Bat Chat 25t

I'm not a TD guy, so excuse the ignorance...

Is the Jagd an assault tank, or a pure sniper?  Does it play like the AT15.  Near the front with troll front armour.  Or is it a hide in a bush super soft big boom TD?  As I love the former and not so much on the later.

Jagd 88 does not do well with potato teammates. It needs support to do well, and when your teammates are all dying in the first minute or two you're pretty much screwed. I generally won't sell a premium tank so I stripped my 88 of everything. If the teams EVER get any better, I'll load it out again.

it's an assault TD. It has great ROF but not huge damage numbers. Like any TD though if you get out of position with no help, you're done. Fun thing is it actually sidescrapes fairly well and if you can go hull down and keep that lower glacius hidden it's a beast. Thunderthies did a fantastic video review on it. I enjoy mine.

T34 is my Sugar Momma tank - it just prints credits.  As noted by others, you can't brawl and it really helps to have a fast ROF mate nearby as the 4 rounds per minute it pumps out make it vulnerable.  I routinely net 60k+ credits and it singlehandedly has eliminated any concerns I might have about shooting gold when I need to shoot gold.  Its hull has paper armor and the lack of preferential MM means you will face tier 10 often . . . however you can still deal damage with its wicked gun.

JT88 was bought on a whim and I do not love the tank.  The ROF is excellent however the pen is meh (in my experience), therefore I shoot APCR frequently.  You need to stick with the group as your worst fear is a marauding T44/54.  Credits work out decently but pales in comparison to the T34.  On my tank, the driver/commander is likely the limiting factor.

Lowe/Super Pershing - no way, no how.

Playing with the Jtg 8.8 and the T34, I have gone from 3.8 mil credits to 5.3 in just under an hour. Both tanks play really differently, but both just print credits if you know how to use them wisely. I had four games in a row where I made over 90K credits

Tier 10s: E100, FV4202, FV215b, Death Star, Mighty Maus, E50M, T110E4,

Check out our YouTube Channel: WoTeam

Favorite tanks: Both FVs, Panther II, VK 30.01 D, Pz. III/IV, T49, T-34-85 Victory, Comet

Jagdtiger 8.8 was a purchase for collecting for me when I was in the low tiers due to the fact it was a limited time offer.  Exhibiting true noobish behavior though, I decided I'd jump the multiple tiers and drive it and everything should work out fine...  :izmena:

Right?  :amazed:

Not a chance.  Completely drove my winrate% into the ground as I applied the "try harder and more often" approach to learning the tank.  I'm wondering if I will ever recover...

That being said, I've had some spectacular wins recently in it but even now, it seems that though the driver/operator is my biggest hindrance to success, the quality of your teammates makes a difference too.  Just speaking for myself, this is a tank that I need to know I can count on at least one teammate for backup if needed.  The ROF is great and it is a fun tank to drive when winning.  When being circled by Tier 8 mediums...not so much.

The data already told the tale given it's the 2nd worst tank by win rate in the game ;).  Didn't really need this poll to confirm that :)

Yup, assault TD for sure.  Get in their faces, hide that lower plate and light up the machine gun.  Whenever possible, permatrack, win.

But the data also says the panther/m10 is terrible, but I know it as a great tank.

JT 8.8 is a great assault TD in its tier...but as others have said it cant be alone and its ROF gives it awesome DPM. Its a keeper

T34 is a good tank if played properly..no YOLO, NOFRONT LINE BRAWLING, HULL DOWN whenever possible. Its a credit ATM a keeper

Lowe had limited success when it came out. Underpowered, poor armor, not great pen with the gun. Since the nerf..its a waste. Lowes usually die first  TOTAL POS SOLD MINE AGES AGO

T26 Super Pershing was really good when it came out. Of course WG had to nerf it because it was hammering IS3s and IS TANKS. NOW ITS GARBAGE. Sold mine

Happy Trails Pardners!!

On PC, I have most of the tier 8 prems due to tourney play.

The Super Pershing is... Interesting. It takes a lot of effort to drive, but it's a good tank. By wiggling around and raising your gun after you fire, it's still surprisingly bouncy. The SP is the only tier 8 prem tank that I have been able to take into a brawl against an E 75 and win. Have nearly two marks and 400 battles in it, so it's not like I'm a noob.

Lowe isn't designed to brawl. Like 70% of players I see drive that tank like a brawler and then rage when it can't autowin for them. Basically, play it like a tiger 1. You can brawl if absolutely necessary, but you have the advantage at range.

The Jagdtiger mit 8,8cm L/71 is simply a fortress. Get your hull covered and open the beer, we're in for a good time. RoF is amazing, adding to the lazerlike accuracy. Prints credits all day long.

Sadly, I don't own a T34(yet) ;)

I own the American premiums, not sure if I'd reccomend them in favor of other nation's tanks. The SP's armor isn't nearly super enough, and the gun needs prammo to work well. The T34 is a good credit earner, but it is so vulnerable that I find it frustrating. Hmm, not doing a good job selling 'Merica...

Own t34 and jagtig out of all those on the list. Both of them need effort and skill to play right though. Both aren't terribly fast, both should hide their hulls as often as possible. Both have accurate guns and both have good enough pen (t34 beyond good enough). But the jagtig takes even more work to play effectively. The gun shoots fast as .... but you have to be able to use that rof to your advantage. If it's not a forumer, I wouldn't recommend a jagtig 8.8 to anyone who hasn't played the freemium jagtig yet. The t34 Id recommend to anyone......who knows how to hull down at least.
