Interesting, a Q&A for concep I see...

Here are a few that I came up with:

  1. What inspired you to create your clan?
  2. What is your favorite/least favorite map and why?
  3. What type of advice would you offer to a novice, intermediate and advance player regarding in-game progression?

Thank you concep for doing this!

Here are my questions!

What is your mindset when playing? Do you go into a battle thinking you will dominate, or do you think your every move. Do you go into every game thinking constantly it is your responsibility to carry? Times when I do double my teams damage combined, but died fighting 1v3, and died to the last guy, I feel I was responsible for losing the game, and not my team. Do you get the same feeling when you carry hard, but wasn't able to pull out the W?

In what situations do you fire premium ammo in a tier 10 tank?

For me, I haven't fired a single heat shell from my t62a in the 100 games I've played in it, because I find that the pen is good enough. Do you sometimes fire gold just so you don't have to aim at a small spot?

What was you best moment in WOTB?

That's all!

Thanks a ton!

A few questions:

1. Would fv4202 better leo in a fight becaude of HESH? Also opinion on leo.

2. Are E5 and E100 best heavies so far?

3. Your ideal tank lineup for clanwars?

Thanks senpai.

1. Ask Zepherex, I haven't played the Leo before.

2. E5 and 215b. E100 is soft to gold.

3. E5, E5, E5, T-62, T-62/E50M/M48/FV4202, E3, E3/268

Heya concep got a few quick questions:

1) What is your best credit-grinding tank?

2) Do you know Jingles and if so, are you a TOG II lover?

3) If you had to choose, what would be your choice: a heavy tank or a tank destroyer? I am quizzical on which to really grind for.

Thanks a bunch man, Shield380

1. T34

2. Yes, I know Jingles, and no, I do not like the TOG.

3. Heavy because they're more versatile.

1. I actually didn't come up with the idea for Blitzkrieg, that was SGM_Zorbaz and Mastrofdeath, I was invited to join them in the creation of KRIEG. Both of them slowly became less active and I officially took over within a month.

2. Favorite map: Tied between Black Goldville and Rockfield. Least Favorite: Copperfield. I love Black Goldville because of the nice hull down positions and great flanking opportunities. I love Rockfield because I like rushing mid bunker and popping up and down and hitting unsuspecting enemies on the other side. I dislike Copperfield because all you have to do to win is have a bunch of heavies and bum rush.

3. I would tell a novice to check out guides and ask better players for advice. Intermediate players could probably do the same but a little bit less of asking advanced players for advice and more playing/observing. I can't tell you what I'd say to an advanced player. It all depends on the what my specialty is compared to theirs.

1. Favorite Tier 8 premium is the T34. Least favorite is the Super Pershing.

2. TDs are my least favorite and mediums are my favorite.

3. Probably the IS-7, but I don't own it anymore. But I played 100+ games in it.

I go into battle hoping for a win. I try my best to prioritize my targets and take out those who are bigger threats i.e. a 268 is a bigger threat than an E5. Yeah, I think I will have to carry every team I play on and I usually do. No, when I'm about to pull off another Kolobanov's but fail, I usually blame my team for getting me in that position in the first place. Although, I can make mistakes that would have given me the win.

I fire gold when I get lazy. Especially in heavy tanks like the 215b which has APCR instead of HEAT which I hate shooting because it's so unreliable.

I don't have a best moment I can recall.

1. How did you personally play the Comet, and how well did that play-style transfer over to the Cents and possibly the FV4202? (Basically, is there a significant difference in play-style?)

2. Do you know any tricks to deal with the Churchill's horrid turret? And does the Churchill VII improve on that at all?

Get the turret right away. The stock turret is just plain awful.

I've never heard of the Tiger 1 or 2 being an oversized medium. They're heavies and should not be played like mediums. The Tiger I has a high RoF with the top gun while the Tiger II, while having decent APCR pen and accuracy, loses the RoF advantage with the top 105mm. The Tiger II is a decent sidescraping tank but the turret is butter. Play it like a heavy but don't push on your own, that's a good way to get knocked out.

I would also recommend fully upgrading the Tiger II before moving to the E75, especially in the gun category because I don't think you want to play with 200mm of pen on a Tier IX heavy, especially with that stock turret.

P.S. Watch out for HESH because the whole E100 line, excluding the E100, gets chewed up by HESH.

Thanks.

By "oversized medium" for Tiger I, I played it as less of a frontline heavy and more of a medium given that it has a good speed, paper hull armor, and a weak gun for a heavy of its tier. I played it ESPECIALLY like this if there were American tanks to fill the hull-down support heavy role like I would do if top-tier and there wasn't a T29 on my team.

I'm guessing the Tiger II plays much more frontline heavy than the Tiger I? Just gotta hide that lower plate.

I suppose you overlooked my question :P I'll go ahead and post it again.

Which line of each type (heavy, med, TD) do you believe to be the 'best'? Just the overall line in general, as well as the most rewarding Tier 10. + a bit of explanation. Thanks!

I played it like a traditional medium. It has a nice turret and a great RoF with good gun depression. I play almost all my mediums the same way and it works fine.

I skipped the Churchill I Blitz because I had an absolutely awful time on PC with it, so I can't really help you there. But if you're forced to play it, you'll want to get that Tier 6 gun at the end of the gun line. It helps a lot. And yes, the Churchill VII's turret is much, much better.

Mediums, but maybe I'm biased because I mostly play meds. The line with the most tanks that are good for their Tier and most rewarding Tier X would have to be the Russian meds. Starting at the T-43, it has insane DPM along with great mobility. The T-44 has decent armor paired with a great gun and maneuverability. The T-54 is, well, it's the T-54. Its hull armor is troll. The gun is great. It's very fast and doesn't disappoint.

I don't know, I have only noticed one of your guides and I didn't take a look at it. At the time, I wasn't interested in reading anything that big.

Yes, you seem way too aggressive. You have a 35% survival rate. Try playing to take less shots and/or play more conservatively.

You didn't finish your question.

Russian Heavy because learning heavies helps a lot.

No problem :)

No problem, glad to help.

The IS-4 and IS-7 lines, for the most part, share the same guns. Which means you should go up the IS-7 line up to at least the IS-3 for the BL-9 and then go up the IS-4 line because I enjoy the IS-4 more than the IS-7, despite the more squishy armor. The IS-7 is a turn off with that horrid accuracy of the 130mm. You have to shoot APCR with it because you'll miss a good amount of shots and have to make those that do hit, count.

tl;dr IS-7 line halfway then IS-4 line

Hello. This is World of Tanks. And tanks are armored fighting vehicles. I believe that my first question was a pertinant question on where you recieved your expertise in them. And my second question was because I thought you may have been an active duty or former military member who had an MOS that had something to do with actual tanks. My apologies. Thank you.

Concep, thanks for doing this. Best thread on this forum I've seen.

Questions are specific to Obj 704 and Obj 268 play.

How would you normally play these tanks? Pure snipers, Secondary support right behind the heavies (how I usually play them)? or short flankers? Or maybe something I haven't listed.

Also, I've seen different opinions on sidescraping and not sidescraping the is7 because of the peaked armor in the front, whats your opinion on this?

Thanks!

I actually played all the Russian TDs right next to the heavies. I wouldn't recommend anyone who doesn't have experience in TDs doing what I did, despite my, even to me, unbelievable damage in the ISU through to the 268. The 704 is a superb sidescraping tank due to the weird angles on the side of the tank. My Obj. 704 has my third highest overall damage, about 30 DPG past my 268. You can play the 704/268 up front or use their insane camo to support from the back, though I'd recommend not sitting in the same position all game, especially when your team needs you up front.

 Object 268   10   55
69.09
63.64
2.76
1.42
3.9
83.48
 1261   3226   1.56
 Object 704   9   153
72.55
58.82
3.24
1.76
4.29
85.89
 1321   3259   1.01

As for the IS-7, I would recommend cautiously sidescrapping. It's a great sidescrapping tank because of great side armor plus it is spaced, but yes, the upper plate will be easier to pen and that's where your ammo rack sits, so be careful. I would recommend hulling down more often than sidescrapping, considering the IS-7 has one of the if not the strongest turrets in-game.

Concep, Black Goldville? Can you give tips on how to play this map? It always seems random as to what happens. I usually go caves but I just wanted to know how you play the map. Thanks!

1. If you could control each team in an equally weighted battle on the map "Castilla", what would be your strategy starting from the top and bottom of the map?  I do not want details, just on average, where you like to go, ie town, middle buttress, field.

2. Any tips on the American T20 (game play, ammo, equip, consumables)?  About to start on this tank.

Thanks for your help, and happy tanking!
