Ok, I have this problem like many other players do where as your ping goes insanely high to about 16,000 ping. My other problem is that I updated to 1.7 already and I look at the "what's new" section for wot blitz and next thing you know I see "fix general crashes." Well I still am crashing while playing the game every 1 or 5 matches I will crash at some point. So what that tells me is that wargaming does make things go premnant as you want it to be.

My question is, why does that happen and why does the ping even exist when the fps has nothing to do with it?

Does anybody know why that is?

The iPod Touch 5 suffers from the same low RAM (512MB) that the iPad 2 and iPad Mini 1 have, which is typically why the game crashes on those devices.  Read here, I explain in more detail in this post:

http://forum.wotblitz.com/index.php?/topic/10618-guide-why-is-your-idevice-crashing-while-playing-blitz

If you look at your crash reports, more than likely they are due to low memory.  That's not really something that WG can fix, it's just a limitation of the device and the growth of the game.

I'm happy for you, but that is not the typical user experience when playing this game on an iPad 2.

Have you taken a statistically significant poll? Could you share your data? Keep in mind, the most vocal group, by a significant margin, on something like this will be those who have problems. I play on the original mini and never have lag or crashes. I would be willing to bet that is typical.

I owned an iPad 2 until a few months ago and played Blitz on it.  I've seen lots of other iPad 2 users posting about frequent crashes on the forum.  It's not like I just invented this experience out of thin air.

But in case you just want to argue the semantics of how I worded it, how's this instead: That is not the typical reported user experience on the iPad 2.

My point is that people who have problems are likely to post about it. People who have a flawless playing experience are not likely to post about it, so while you hear about people having issues, it's quite possible the majority using these devices have no problems and don't feel the need to start threads about how well Blitz runs for them.

I play on the iPad mini 1 but I don't run into any problems. And I've used almost all memory too.

But that doesn't make sense though I've been playing on the app and never crashed since June 28 2014 to Dec 30 2014. The first time I crashed on the game was when I first got on iOS 8 which put me in a bad position for really bad delays on apps at the time and during that time the game was already on version 1.5 that's where the strange problem comes from. I wasn't crashing as much when wot blitz updated to 1.5.

I'm back in action!

Sounds like a possibility. I am running iOS 7 until I can upgrade to a newer device because I heard there could be performance issues with the original mini and iOS 8.

I also play on the iPod touch 5 and have been experiencing crashes since update 1.5. Every few games or so, I will crash and have to re enter the game which takes ages. It's very annoying. What has been working for me is turning off my device, then turning it back on. That will usually stop any crashes for awhile. It's still extremely annoying when I feel like playing all of a sudden, then on my first game I crash. WG, please fix this it's been happening for 3 patches now. I have tried clearing all running apps but that doesn't work, and my internet is fine
