Sigh, but why not make the tanks "play" the way they really worked, regardless of map size or game format.
I mean, why bother putting any tank on the field, much so one with plenty of real historical combat data to show what it could and could not do, if it is going to be into made a Fantasy tank in the end?
By that reasoning then why have a Tiger II fight in the same battle as an Obj 268? It's all fantasy combat and a game. If it were to be an historical recreation then it would be vastly different.
ITS A GAME. PLAY IT OR NOT

Wow, can I take that as your permission to play, let alone think or speak any viewpoint different than yours?
I just asked why bother taking a real tank from real history, which had a good or great combat record, and turn it into fantasy, as in out of it's true scope as the tank it was. Might as well go back to playing Mech Warrior if you want no context to real life.

You realize those tanks never existed outside of paper, right? And I'm not even including the tanks that were made, but only as prototypes or experimentals.
The game is loosely based on WWII. At no time did World of Tanks claimed it was historically accurate to any degree.

Unrustle your jimmies, jeeze. WoT =\= WoT PC. Get past it, and just play. For chrissake, most of the tanks in the game were either never mass produced or never existed.

Get your point, but CHILL OUT!
I am acutely aware of how many "one offs", mock ups, partial prototypes, and just "only on paper, some only in spec of note form" tanks are in this game, and you missed some by the way. I digress.
Why should we assume the "fantasy" tanks would have been better in performance and battle, when in real life they didn't even merit making a single metal casting of one piece, or were abandoned when they had actual from the field dats that to pursue them would be a waste of time, and a losing proposition? The Hellcat was a real combat tank, a lot on your list were not. so again I just have to ask, why nerf or piddle around with a real tank in the name of game balance, and then buff and push fantasy tanks instead!?
It is also understood that this game isn't just WW2, it goes a few years beyond that, and yes in weird and sometimes major wars and battles long after WW2, a good number of those WW2 tanks from many sides found themselves in real combat in wild combinations, sometimes against each other when they once fought side by side, and then more modern tanks would get mixed in too, but once again, I argue NOT the case with Fantasy tanks. NOBODY went to war with a MAUS, or in a MAUS, for example.
In real war, captured tanks could and were put into combat against their once former owners, so not so out of the question to see such in Blitz, but again, can you say that about the fantasy tanks? Hence, if fantasy is the main focus and the prefered style of gameplay, then why bother with the real tanks and real history at all? How different things would be, if the fantasy tanks were out of the game, and the remaining real tanks were spread out across the tiers, and the Hellcat was treated like a Premium tank.
