Sometimes, especially in 3rd person view, the hit indicator shows a direction 180 degrees off. I've even been against the red line and had it indicate the shot came from out of bounds. But when in the middle of the map it's caused me to die when behind cover, especially when sniped from an unseen enemy. I see the shot indicator and move the opposite direction to get better cover only to expose myself more to the person who shot me.

Just a weird idea, what if being shot from behind when your right in front of the boundary line is WG's way of stopping camping??

That was just a stray shot from another game being played on that map next-door :)

I've experienced the same thing numerous times at the edge of the map as well.

HE splash from behind?

I (the OP) have had it happen even in the middle of a map. I've just about given up on the indicator as it's so unreliable.

Yep! Have had flank and tail shot indications as well, when said flank or tail is literally close to the edge of the map while flanking.

Stray shot from adjacent battle next door is right!  :teethhappy:

No no, not different maps.  But if there's more than 1 game being played on Fort Despair at the same time, it's like playing at a paintball field.  There's another field right next to yours and stray shots can (and will) come over. :)
