That's the problem with groups. If you decide to be part of an association, you can claim you had no part on what the other members do only if you confront them when you object to their actions. If you look the other way and tacitly support them you bear part of the responsibility.

PS. I was not involved in the events that were transpired. As I said, I missed the memo. With every game or test, there will be individuals who devise a Kobayashi Maru-type approach. Did Kirk cheat? Maybe, but did he?

Wait - you all may not be stat padding for individual tanks with the cheaters BUT I bet your brackets match theirs. Another unfair advantage like betting on a game you know is fixed even tho you May have not fixed it.  

 

I would be rich beyond words knowing the outcome of every game in March madness.

no he can't because we have interclan battles with dq all the time. Quite frankly that picture just creates more trouble because you can't even tell when it was taken.

Faking a time stamp would rake about 4 seconds.  Plus you just have a pic of the people in the chat channel.  Obviously not all of them were in it.  Now that said, we don't need more evidence, the OP has all the proof that is needed, and a list of exactly who was in on the match.

This crap has to be stopped right now. My 1103 xp game (where I did not cheat) doesn't count for sh1t now. I seriously hope everyone involved in this does not get rewarded for it. I hope you're listening wargaming.

Well forum friends, we have seen similar stacking in other contests as well. The one that comes to mind is this one: http://forum.wotblit...ount-challenge/ There were significant attempts to "game the system." Given an opportunity, some people will take shortcuts to win. 

 

Regardless, take the following in to consideration:

1. Don't make generalized statements about clans, especially considering some have 50 members.
2. State your specific complaint and stay on target. Don't expand to include other issues as it will diminish any credibility in your argument.

 

My assessment of the situation is this:

1. Some people were likely there to game the system.
2. Some people were likely there to simply have fun with their clan mates on TS and to engage in countdowns. After all, when was the last time you saw a bunch of clan players in M4 shermans?

 

I see at least two courses of action(likely more exist):

1. Appeal to the clan leaders directly and simultaneously, even those that lead clans that didn't participate in this behavior. 
2. Appeal to WG directly, with community support.

 

Personally I did not engage in this activity but I do enjoy countdowns. Why? Because it increases my chances or playing with and/or against people that are as good as, or better than me, and there's more camaraderie. I am playing the M4 and T49 this weekend. I've burned and earned my mastery and achieved a reasonable amount of XP for the contest to increase my chances of honestly winning something with my personal integrity intact. Either way, I'll look for you on the field.

I hope some person somewhere was streaming or catching video of the tournament. Maybe unbeknownst to them at the time but they may have recorded these classless chumps in the act.

of all the people who are in the clans involved I give props to Mono. He isn't making any excuses. He has asked for names and I am sure will take action. o7 Mono you are A-1 in my book.

As the OP, I want to make it clear that I am in no way blaming the clans as a whole. I've been playing online games for a long long time and know that you don't throw out a barrel of apples just because there are a few rotten ones. Most folks in clans are decent citizens who just want a place to play with friends.  That's why I didn't post the individual names.  I believe that this is a clan (and WG) matter.

 

That being said, both Monopower (TITAN) and TwistedMetal_1 (DEFIANT) have asked for unblurred screenshots, which I have sent- however, I only unblurred the names of the members of their particular clans. I would be happy to do the same for ATTRITION and BLITZKRIEG.

 

If clan leaders feel like outing the individuals, that is their business- I am not going to share the names with the general public.  These individuals know who they are.

 

EDIT: I changed the title of the post to reflect that I am not calling out clans in general.
