With the Tiers being I - VIII even if people go seal clubbing against friends on "phantom" accounts they would still be in the lower tiers, getting less XP, and still have to spend time to coordinate. Plus there will be a nasty penalty for anyone caught cheating. And I mean nasty.

You rock CC. And I applaud you for doing another contest so soon man. You obviously care a great deal about us forumers. I hate that the last contest was tarnished, It was such a great premise! I give you kudos for being involved and fixing everything and giving us another great event!

Here is your Loop Hole. 

A group could easily use 7 accounts but if multiple people have access you could have different shifts of players rotating on and off.

Yeah it would be dumb to play your friends account and just give them free exp. I wouldnt let anyone on my acct either. Even if they were a better player.

Yes. People could do that. 

 

Only the accounts in the 7 would receive the reward though.

 

There will also be a very nasty penalty for those caught cheating. We would be able to catch this method easily enough. Plus 7 people are much easier to delve into rather than 100.

My only fear at this point is that this will be really a competition only for a very limited group of people. In the previous contest I clearly could see a chance for me to get into the top 100 and indeed there were many unknown names and it gave hope to many players to participate. When there is just one team to win I see how easy it could be to say 'OK, I'm not an unicum and there is no place for me in this competition; how could I win against these monsters?'. We don't know the exact rules but it's a dangerous proposition and I hope they would address the issue so the contest will be attractive to many. But maybe I'm just overthinking this...

Since this is going to be based on total XP gained over the duration of the event, I don't think teams of top players will really have any advantage.  That is, of course, unless they decide to forgo everything in their real lives to just play Blitz 24x7 during the event.  I think every team is going to have a good chance of winning, providing that their members play. A LOT.

What would be a nice solution for this is if WG picked the teams randomly but this would be impossible. 

Basically you competing against the best 7,14 , etc. each Clan can can field. Not good for the average Joe.
