        Introduction

Hi! I'm Panzer_Leader_3, and today I will be teaching you how to use the VK 30.02 (M). This is a slightly uncommon tank on the battlefield, and the tankers who are lucky enough to drive them are unwilling to divulge their secrets. First, we shall cover recommended progression, second grinding, and third tactics against tanks of its tier.

  1. Research

Engine ---> Gun (if not obtained from the VK 30.01 H)-----> Turret or Suspension ----> Panther or engine.

This is for a Multirole tank. It is generally recommended for grinding. Equipment would be (for me) a gun laying drive, tank gun rammer, and torsion bars.

         2. How to grind

This is a excellent tank to grind in. With the second turret and the gun, you can bounce shots from a Hetzer and deliver shots right back. Platooning makes this tank's virtues shine even further; my best match was when I platooned with a KV-1S using the derpgun. He would go out, bounce a few shots, shoot one of the enemies, and then back up to reload, which is when I would go out and finish the enemy tank off. For the grind to the engines, (turret and suspension aren't so bad. 7 good battles with premium acc.) I would recommend using a previously elited tank to get free XP. My favorite for this purpose is the Beta Sherman, however, if you were not a CBT tester and this is the only line you grind on, I would recommend a maxed VK 30.01H with the Waffe.

         3. Tactics at tier

      Indefinitely postponed

Hey i have unlocked the panther and still love my Vk. However, just a flaw i noticed was that instead of having to research the turret and then the gun; on the VK 30.01 H you can unlock the VK 30.02 M's top gun at the same price. Also if you are going to go down the Medium line you might as well get the 7.5 cm Kw.K 42 L/70. (Top gun on the 30.02 M) Secondly, you don't need to waste 13k xp i think it was for the second engine or the 6k xp on  the tracks. Went through the the 30.02 M pretty fast without spending the extra xp on any of the engines or tracks. However once you've unlocked the Panther than you can elite the tank. Just my two cents if you want to go through it fairly fast. The  VK 30.02 M is definitely my favorite tank so far.

Er, if you follow the projection, I said that you get the gun (ie, the L70) after the turret so you can start bouncing, and then you could either get the Panther or the tracks.

You've got it a bit wrong for a proper medium. To help it along (it's pathetically slow stock) I got the engine first, then ignored the tracks and second engine. That seemed to work best for a fast grind to the Panther, which I now have.

As to equipment, I use a Toolbox, Rammer, and Upgraded Suspension. I also use one of those Multipurpose Pack consumables.

You can put the grinding section AS LONG AS you put "Thanks to Panzer_Leader_3 for this section!". Otherwise....bad things will happen.

VKs can't touch my StuG III without the later cannons...the VK 30.2 H however comes with a good cannon, unlike it's heavy counterparts who can't do damage to me

Just to clarify with everybody, there are three VKs in game. I've noticed some people mixing them

 up.

VK30.01H Tier 5 German Heavy

VK30.02M Tier 6 German Medium

VK36.01H Tier 6 German Heavy

I have the VK 30.02(M) but I haven't bought the Toolbox before. Does it make a big difference?   On another tank I use I bought the extended vision but found it wasn't worth it.

Also, @Panzer_Leader_3. - will you be moving to a Tiger or Panther next?  I'm painfully and seems like forever, trying to grind out enough experience to move on to the next level but can't decide which direction to go.   I like my tanks fast and agile but want one hit kill power so what are your thoughts? Anyone else?

I'm already on maxed Panther, with 87K left until Panther II. It's a great tank, but REALLY slow until you get the second engine. Stock, it's a good tank, but with a horrible gun. NEVER use the 105 on that tank; it's no brawler. If you want alpha, you could stay with the 88, (once you get the Schmalturm; I recommend using free XP) but I use the top gun (L100) for a gun that could take down Robo in his E50 maxed. (Did that.)

Update: Not going for Panther II, instead looking at the Tiger II. Around 80K left....

I lived the 30.02m when I had it. Bouncy tank great gun. When you get to the panther it a whole different ball game though.

I'm absolutely horrible in this tank.  It's so bad that I skipped upgrading engine/tracks in an effort to get to panther faster.  Unfortunately, not upgrading is probably making my experience in this tank that much worse.

Tier 10: E100, E50M, FV215b, FV4202, IS-7,Obj 268, T-62A

Working On: E5

Good luck. The Panther is worse, and the Panther II is worse than the Panther

I've been grinding towards the Panther in a totally-stock (except for the gun, which I already researched elsewhere) tank for a while now, and I'm almost there. Even only one upgrade, it handles surprisingly well and is one of my better-performing tanks (55% WR which is better than many of my others.)

Now that I've finally pried my wallet open and bought a lot more garage spaces, this un's a keeper, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's funny that I read this now, because lately I've really been thinking of postponing the panther and spending all the XP I've accumulated on souping up the VK instead...
