Pretty self described by the header. I sure don't see many.  I was considering it and did some searches and found some lack of love for it shall we say in threads about generic premiums or other tanks. Any comments?  Thanks.

it's not actually a bad tank, but you need more skills and knowledge than expected to fight with that medium tank

It is not bad. Just slow. Nothing really bad about it except speed. Not so exciting to play. It is more like stock T32 than regular Pershing. I could not say that I like it too much, but it does not feel that bad either.

It's like any tank, it depends on the driver & their skill.

it can be good if used right, the gun is a little lack luster on pen so make sure you carry some premo rounds

Play it like a heavium

If you want to earn a lot of creds, dont buy it.  It's not a bad tank but requires a lot of prammo.  If you don't use prammo, the tank is really hard to use.  It's still tricky anyways, but not bad if u keep ur front armor facing forward at all times, dont angle this tank.  Wiggle ur turret  between shots.  I was like 29% WR or something horrid like that thru 140 plus games, have since gone 70% plus WR to get it over .500.  Not a great earner because it does see ten and requires prammo even in tier 8 battles.

I found that angling worked with it too, the tracks seem to eat everything. Like you said though, it's not a good credit earner, I earn more with my box tank

It saw very little action and it was rushed to the front to test the gun.  The gun was not typical of WW2 tanks, it required propellant to be added seperately after the round had been inserted into the breech, the propellant could be adjusted, at its maximum propellant it had the highest feet/sec rate of any projectile in WW2 but its pen was still slightly inferior to three guns, the british 17 pounder, the long 88 on king tiger, and the panther 75mm.  Since tanks only fought other tanks 15% of the time in US engagements, tank vs tank gun tech was allowed to fall behind in the US, we were still catching up to germans, brits, and russians in terms of universal tank armament into the late 1940s

I wouldn't recommend it. I have one, and it's not that bad. The hull armor is mostly reliable, and the turret armor is great. The problem is the gun. It has less penetration than the top gun on the standard Pershing, but the Super Pershing is practically immobile and can't get around enemy tanks. You have problems with IS 3s and KV 4s, and unfortunately they are pretty common. You end up having to spam premium ammo which defeats the main purpose of a tier 8 premium, credit earning. You can make lots of credits, but the T34 just does everything better.

The Super Pershing is not supposed to be played like a medium, it is more of a heavy than a medium. You have to prevent the enemy from flanking you, and use your front armor, angle it if possible. There are still weak spots on the front, including the lower front, two ear-like objects on the turret edges, the mantlet of the turret is very tough.

I agree with most everything that has been said up to this point.  My advice is that if you have purchased and already gotten bored with the T34, IS-6, AT-15A, and SU-100Y and you don't need to earn silver, then go ahead and buy the Super Pershing.  I did not follow these criteria prior to purchasing mine, and I regret doing so.

Tier X (Garage): Obj. 268, T110E5, T-62A, M48, IS-7, E100

Tier X (Researched): IS-4, Maus, T110E4, Obj. 140, T110E3, FV215b, FV215b (103), FV4202, E50M, Leopard 1, Jagdpanzer E100, STB-1

Grinding: SU-101

Free XP Purchased: $0

I would agree with that. Once you use premium ammo, the lack of penetration doesn't matter. It's not fantastic for money making, but it's fun.

It has a mediocre gun and is pretty slow. Not really much HP, however armor is quite good and also considering it has preferential matchmaking it's good. Not great in my opinion but it's good

I hate it. I played it and worse than my Panther II.
