It saw very little action and it was rushed to the front to test the gun.  The gun was not typical of WW2 tanks, it required propellant to be added seperately after the round had been inserted into the breech, the propellant could be adjusted, at its maximum propellant it had the highest feet/sec rate of any projectile in WW2 but its pen was still slightly inferior to three guns, the british 17 pounder, the long 88 on king tiger, and the panther 75mm.  Since tanks only fought other tanks 15% of the time in US engagements, tank vs tank gun tech was allowed to fall behind in the US, we were still catching up to germans, brits, and russians in terms of universal tank armament into the late 1940s

The Pershing used single piece ammo and the gun was modified to achieve high muzzle velocity. The two piece ammo was used by the brit 17 pounder. Here a like on a Super Pershing engagement.  <www.3ad.com/history/news/super.pershing.1.htmI>

One word of advice. Load an sufficient amount of APCR. Hulldown and smile as people try to fire at that turret face and be confused at it bouncing.

And be prepared to make very little credits. The same as for KV5.

I hate it. I played it and worse than my Panther II.

LOL but they have similar guns and HP, but one has a lot of armor and the other doesn't and one is fast and the other one isn't but the super pershing has preferential matchmaking meaning it should be a good tank maybe it just doesn't fit your playstyle

One pro is that it has preferential MM. It will not see t10 tanks.

It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness; that is life.

This is an awesome tank! Been playing with it almost since the beginning and once you learn how to play it, hard to beat. Know the weak spots of other tanks and sometimes you'll have to sling some gold shells but it's an earner for me. 20,000 credits a battle on average. So fun to play!

Not true. I've played against tier 10's many times in it.

You must platoon allot then, Super P should only see Tier 9. IRT topic, it isn't a potato friendly tank, but in the right hands can be effective. Played a match on Winter Mal the other day, Red rolled us at the mill and our only remaining tank was a Super P who had hung back to snipe vs three remaining Reds, an IS a T32 and a brit medium.. The team was like "OMG we lost" and such, then the Persh driver pulled off a Rasin and did 4100 damage.

Well it's not Super, I can say that. I bought it thinking people are exaggerating, like how they hate on M46 and M48, which are two of my favorite mediums. After 150 games in the SP, I'm at 60% WR almost all solo, so I guess it can do well.

But man oh man does it make negative credits. For $20 bucks, I make more credits in my E5. You have to do at least 2k dmg to net maybe 5k, 3-4k does net you 40k without premium, and using prammo. 1500 dmg? -15k. But high scoring games are rare, as this thing moves slllooooww. It's too underpowered, so if you miss guesstimate where the action is, you won't be doing high dmg.

Pros: Great gun depression (-10 degrees), fast RoF, good dmg, troll armor, good turret rotation speed. Cons: Underpowered engine, underpowered engine, underpowered engine. This is one tank that could use a push. Every time someone pushes me, I get up to 40mph from 22mph easy.

Somehow I've managed to get a decent win rate in it, but yeah... its pretty bad for a tier 8 premium. It REALLY need 250 more HP. Its slower up hills than my IS6.

Depends on how people play it, I found it pretty good. But a lot of people have a love affair with the T34, so many are biased. The German Lowe is a really good tank, and I loved it, but it just isn't loved like the T34
