If the parents do not care, then why should WG? Parents are in charge of their children, and if parents really have no problems with their kids being exposed to poor language, then why are you advocating that a company should?? This is a tank game, it is not a simulator but it is based around World War II era tanks. It is not a game for kids to start with, but if parents are okay with letting them play a game based around vehicles designed to kill, then why should anybody else? It's not my or anybody else's business.

No it's just some parents care enough to not let it become an issue in the first place.

Ok, yes I do see what you mean, but since it's rated 12+ parents that "do care",don't understand that this game is full of bad stuff for kids, APPLE STORE Rates 12+ as "mild violance/ cartoon mischief ". 12+ is rated "for the game" not th players, I understand that WG cannot ban swear words, thay can at least ban the players who say them.

I'm just amazed to see this many adults here. On that tip, it's the Internet. You can't control it. Maybe have a disable button for in game chat so you could choose not to get junky messages. I have rarely seen quality advice in game chat. Also, first to die is usually first to cry. If you're dead, chat should be disabled. Have fun everyone. It's just a game.

Realistic? Nothing about this game is remotely realistic. I, for one, am absolutely delighted about not having to worry that some idiot will shoot me in the rear, or that someone will TK someone else and the entire team will implode within under a minute.

Unfortunately some people in the game act worse than kids.

True, next generation will be worser than ever before. In the past it's hardly to see G movie or any kind of Sxual movie in the cinema or even TV, Now it's everywhere even Cinema using swear words.

We can't protect them for long. No one can. Kids has to grow, kids has to become adults which mean we can't prevent these stuff but what we can is to push them has a consciousness of these stuff. To know and to avoid or know how to deal with.

My relative kids just 8 years old but talking and swearing to his friends like a WTH. Watching sexy P movie in youtube.

Parents need to be parents. My kids don't play this - it's violent and full of horrible idiots (most forumers excluded.) My kids are 6.

Would I let a responsible 13 yo play WoTB? You bet.

I do believe cursing makes people sound like idiots. I mean sure, I do know educated people who swear every other word - but my general impression when I meet a person who constantly curses is that they are an uneducated moron.

That said, I believe cursing is as much about the environment as it is about being civilized. For example, I sometimes work with mechanics for weeks or on construction sites for weeks with my job. Swearing there? Fine - needed, in fact. (As an outlet.) Swearing in a game? I'm ok with it - it's competitive. Trash talking is part of the tactic.

Personal attacks, however, should lead to a ban. There's no need for those ever.

it irks me that I have to listen to this type of language all the time. Now I am no prude, I have used foul language. With that being said it seems that vulgarity seems to permeate today's society. So many people cuss today. I can't even sit in a restaurant with my family without hearing multiple people using not just foul language but Filthy language. I am talking men Women and children. I went to a business just yesterday the individual that waited on me had his fingers tattooed. On his left hand from little finger to big was fu** and on his right from index to little was uall. Now years ago I would have thought...."Wow your mother must be really proud of you"  But now I think...."Wow his mother must have have tattoos that are worse" I watched a program not to long ago, it was an interview with the actor Gene Wilder ( Young Frankenstien, Williy Wonka) the MC asked him how he liked movies today. Mr. Wilder responded "not very well" the MC asked why? "Because of all the swearing, they use the F word a couple of hundred times in a movie how do they fit any other dialog into a film" sorry for the long diatribe, but is something that irks me.

Happy Gaming All

I think the solution is to be able to disable chat.

I am not as annoyed with common curse words (as most kids know what those are) as I am some of the very profane terms/phrases used.  It is not common but there is always someone that wants to use these terms/phrases.  You really should not have to explain these terms to a 6 year old.

Also as a working professional (consulting mechanical engineer) I would comment that almost all professionals I work with in my field do not cuss like a sailor or use terms such as these.  Just an observation, take from it what you will.

I think there should be a basic swear word filter.

Why does someone need to drop the f-bomb four times in a row?

Actually, I'd rather have basic chat completely disabled that way I wouldn't have to deal with, "How do you like that tank?"  "When is artillery coming?" "HeY GuYz, RuSh BaSe!1!1!" "OMG HACKER!" "I forgot my ammo" etc etc.

It would make potatoes actually play the game instead of converse.

I am a parent.  I monitor my child's games.  It would be nice if there was just a standard option to turn off chat in game.

Today I went to the bathroom and forgot my phone.

There are 256 tiles in the bathroom...

From the ESRB website the game is rated Teen.

TEEN

Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.

In fact the only difference between this and mature and adult is the sexual content.

and I've seen some tanks in some strange positions lately. :D
