The best way is to just keep playing until you finally meet a guy in battle who is decent, add him, and then click 'create platoon'. He may or may not accept your invitation, but it's better than asking in the general channel, since most people there suck, some are good, but most suck. I found that going in general channel, waiting for someone to ask for a platoon, then do a search of their stats before adding them is a good way to find someone. If they're under 50% win rate, they're usually not going to work well with you. But sometimes that "he's my PLATOON MATE" mentality will make that guy help you more in battle, even if their stats arent so good. Another way is here on the forums, and honestly if someone has taken the time to get in the forums they will probably make the effort to be a good partner as well.

True dat. Argyle baffle scanner lock quail gargle.
But in all seriousness, I think this would be an awesome way to let people rant in the forum, and make it interesting for others to read:
Start a post. Startup up your smart phone's talk to text feature.
Start ranting. Let the expletives fly! Compare thy enemies to a summer's day! Get it all off your chest.
And then submit the post without any edits.

New blitz battle lingo:
" dont scanner lock quail " at the beginning of a battle.
" scanner lock quail much? " when the team scattered like feral cats at first sight of a tank and gets rolled.
Thanks for the laugh speech to text!

I'm setting up a keyboard macro for this.
Me: "Heavies: scanner lock quail!"
Everyone else: "Wut?"
Me: "Do you even forum, bro?"

ok I seriously needed that laugh this morning. lol
To the OP though, You are in the "find a platoonmate" section so that's a good start. I go into every battle expecting 1 v 7.....2 v 7 if I am tooning. Having a capable toonmate that you mesh well with is critical. Just because they are a good to great player doesn't mean they are a good toonmate for you. Ultimately you will find a couple guys that the chemistry just clicks and a monster toon is created. Another tip for toons, is don't feel like you have to work side by side. I love running a TD with a medium for example. It's nice knowing that I have a capable teammate on the other side of the map. Let's me not worry so much about the flank getting rolled, etc.
One other thing is look into the clan recruitment section. If you find a clan that suits your needs and you fit in well with, there are another 50 toonmates and friends at your disposal. Welcome to the forums and happy hunting.

^^^ Yep!
On topic.
Avoid general chat to look for platoon mates.
Use the forum (like you did) and wait for replies.
You can try a friend invite to a person who you saw in battle play well, but don't be surprised if they get ignored, because the person already has plenty of friends or prefers to solo or prefers to platoon with high WR platoon mates etc. So, try to become good in the tanks you have. Study up on some of the mechanics. Get that WR up some. Elite some tanks.
I'm always open to platoon some with motivated players, and prefer to use teamspeak to coordinate just a little.
