No one really goes into deep analysis over low tier tanks, they're mostly point, shoot, and don't get shot=win

True, low tiers tanks could be kill in a few hits why concern if it's good or bad. Good tank starting at tier 7 or 8 and above which each tank start to have each unique characteristic.

Not bad once you get the gun upgrades. T49 is a keeper in my opinion. Next two (cat and t25/2) I don't /don't think I'll like not enough speed to compensate for terrible armor. Some adore the cat... I am not one of them but I do ok in it. Looking forward to the proto, and the T30. E4 looks good too.

M8A1 and T49 are some of my favorite tanks in the game. Invisible with a camo net. Super fun.

I personally struggle with both M8A1 and T49, either I die (way too) early or stand alone against the bulk of the team ... type thing. I haven't found a happy medium yet to help get the team to win. I have come across some people who do excellent in that line mid tier, with hundreds and thousands of battles in them, so I'm still learning :)

It's pretty good but if you run in to a T-82 or a T-40 they can pen you with HE so your a easy one shot

Some people play them like mediums. Personally, I park on the best hill I can find and rain down terror on the reds. Camo value is so good that you don't need to hide way in the back. Zip away as soon as the lightbulb goes off. Take a map tour, then set up again. You really have to take that ten seconds to lose the spot and get invisible again. These two are the true ninjas of blitz. All about stealth. End of game I will not worry about the spot and play closer in. Derp on the M8A1 is a lot more fun, but expect to spam heat when low tier. Also, determine the most valuable tanks on your team, and make a point of supporting them. You will pull more wins by keeping those tanks alive.

It's got a pretty accurate gun, and if you play it like a medium and don't get too close to the other team it can be a really fun tank.   Just learn to hang back a little bit with it.

There are lots of good and fun tanks in the lower tiers.   You'll get a lot more out of the game if you enjoy playing all the tanks in all the tiers.

+1 Christian.

Thanks for the valuable feedback  I finished up with the M8A1. Had such good hopes for it, as I enjoyed the T40, and figured it'd be like that, but with a rotating turret. No, not quit. Anyhow. I will keep the pointers in mind for the T49, and who knows perhaps hell kitty. I agree that they're really fun to play and zippy, it is just that my fun also ties into winning a bit more than losing.

Yeah its nothing like t40.... fun tank though once you learn how to play it. I kept mine on pc.. good gun, good speed, just cant get tracked or u insta die. Should shoot and move a lot if ur too close to enemy, otherwise it can be played like a td. I like it because its versatile. It can be scout, medium, or td or all three at the same time!

The M8A1 is a fun little tank just try not to turn a lot due to the fact that its turret rotation is almost as slow as the T29's. However the M8A1 can be very fun. I'm not great at using it but I have had quite a few great games with it.

T25/2 is OP.  Snipe early, then become a medium late.  I hated the Hellcat, but adored the T25.

Proto is fun, just make sure you have at least the 105mm researched or you'll throw your device across the room; the 90mm in tier 8 is incapable of anything.

T30 is okay; people can still pen your turret cheeks and cupola, so its not invincible hull-down.

I just got E4, and its fun.  Bad armor and horrid depression, but just hang back a bit and you'll be fine.

Its a tough line, especially when stock, but very rewarding if you play them right.

Amazing tank.
I sold it because it spoiled me. It is like the king of stealth. Get far away, on a hill, and don't move, just snipe. Then, Chase down the weak and kill them like a medium would.
