Title^^. How do I play the T34 american heavy? I heard I have to hull down a lot. I recently won it in the birthday bash contest. Also would like a platoon mate, someone experienced with the T34. Thanks!

Simple really. Play it hull down and hull down only. Exposing your hull is certain death.

Hmm, I'd say just always hull down and use those thick American tracks to side scrape, I'd help but if I remember right i do poorly in the T34, or any American tank for that matter, (IS-6 master race).

Bro, Buy a Digger as equipment and bury that thing. Load prammo about 5 rounds (reload is so slow u seldom are out of those). Gun damages every low plate and certainly every commander hatch but the E3 one. Think where u going at the beginning cause the boat is slow and u will not get to the other side in the same game. Avoid flat open spaces. Hilly terrain is your friend.

Yea I do very poorly on flat land in my independence as well.

 

I try to sidescrape off buildings sometimes, but I haven't mastered that skill yet. However, I managed to bounce an is7 shot off my tracks today so I think it's getting better. Having a good team helps, because then you can effectively provide second line fire support and you can flank around buildings in towns and stuff while green team is brawling with red. What's more deadly than a t34 shot from the front? A t34 shot from the side or back.

 

I actually like higher tier battles in this tank. At least then, the "flashy" paint job discourages eye contact with it. That and Washingtonium and depleted Washingtonium rounds can cut through a quite a lot

Pro tip: don't sit still while hull down, always move slightly. That commander cupola on top can be penned by precise guns relatively well. This would throw off the aim but do this at least while on reload or when you know that opponents are good. This tank is really a turreted TD so play accordingly.

The reload is soooooo slow. Like everyone says, be jealous of your hit points. I play the 34 like a support tank. It isn't quick enough at anything to get into a brawl on its lonesome.
