You people cry too much. Most of the time if I'm afk it's because my game has shut down or I get tired of the shittttty server lag. Tell wargayming to fix their servers and people wont get angry and quit the game. It's not like they are starving for money. Just because NA employees are lazy like the majority of Americans, doesn't mean you butt lovers should rage at the players for incidents beyond their control. Rage at the company that takes your money for some subpar service.

As has been said over and over, it's targeting serial AFKers, not cry babies who rage quit.  Just to be clear, which one are you defending?

I know this might come off as some what harsh and extreme but people who make being AFK a habit and ruin games for others need to be permanently banned from the game a temporary ban won't work WG needs to start cracking down on this hard to show to show people who do this constantly will be displined severely.

No doubt, let the permabanning begin!

No one really supports serial AFKers right?  Everyone who claims to be anti-anti-AFK uses the same argument that sometimes things happen and one can end up AFK.  Which is nothing like being AFK game after game failing one's way up the tiers.  Be part of the solution, pledge for anti-AFK in NA!  Thank-you :honoring:

Nope, if you can't play uninterupted then dont play. I personally put my Iphone 6+ on "Airplane Mode" whwn I play. That way someone cant call and drop me out of game.

Unfortunately I use my iphone 5 as a hotspot for the iPad mini and at least twice someone has called me and cut me off.  I usually hang up ASAP and log back in.

It's funny, the author of this thread has a pretty abysmal winrate past Tier 5.

Maybe it's not AFKs that is ruining the game.

Afk repeaters with many in a month or some time line set by Wargaming, is it possible to track and post a stat for Afk? After a number of afk' you get a notice from Wargaming and some chance to explain your problem if not with intent to ruin a battle. Is an Afk stat a way to deal with this. Repeating Afk players may back off if stats are shown. Occasional issues happen and a low Afk count shouldn't  be an issue.

Technically possible, though so far WG hasn't posted any details of how they detect AFKs. I doubt they will soon so the serial AFKer's have a harder time avoiding getting flagged.  Occasional issues aren't gonna be an issue, the problem is willful abuse.

How about reserve bans for serial AFKers, and impose some kind of in-game penalty on the occasional snack-fetching caring fathers (or mothers, to be completely PC)? For instance, for every minute your tank doesn't do anything (which the client should be able to detect easily), you are fined 100k credits. Something along those lines.
