Hey all,

So I for one am super excited about the Jumbo coming in the next update. My goal right now is the T29 on the American heavy line. Which route do you suggest: T1 Heavy, M6, then T29, or Sherman Jumbo straight to the T29?

American: M48 Patton, T32 | German: E100, Ru 251 | Russian: Obj. 140, T-54, KV-4, IS-3 | British: Comet | Japanese: Chi-Nu

Premiums: Lowe, IS-6, T34, Panther/M10, Type 62, Cromwell B, T2 Light, M3 Light, T7 Car, Tetrarch, Pz. B2, Tankenstein

I didn't find the m6 bad, but others do... I would probably suggest the t1 route so you dont get disappointed when your speed disapears in a puff of xp. Though I know nothing about the jumbo and how good/great it is.

T1 Heavy is great. If you treat it like a heavium and always angle to mitigate those sides you can blow up so many things.

M6 not as fun but still a capable tank.

Either path you choose the T29 is nothing like the tanks before it.  Good luck.

Go for the T1. The M6 after it will have the 90mm gun, which is much better than the 76mm.

Sherman Jumbo has better armor than the M6 Even though it is a medium. One thing to note is that if you get the Jumbo, the stock turret is stronger than the upgraded one.

U can't fit the max gun with the stock turret though.

If you plain on going for the US medium line as well or in the future don't go t1. Playing the m3 lee is horrible. I hated it when I first went through it and still hate it. do yourself a favour go the jumbo route.

A while back I tried getting to the T29. Didn't get past the T1. Hated that thing with a passion. So I'm planning on going the Jumbo myself.

lol I know what you mean. I've unlocked both the M4 and the T1 Heavy so I'm done with the Lee and I've already grinded all the way through the Pershing. Now I'm just getting my feet wet in the American heavies. I also feel the T29 would help me decide if I want to buy a T34 or IS-6 in the future.

P.S. I'd still take the M3 Lee over the Russian A-20 ALL DAY E'RR DAY.

Go Jumbo. Trust me on this, the jumbo is better then the M6. Period. The jumbo has more armor, faster, and about the same gun. You can either be a rolling fortress with a 105 Derp, or a Heavily armored E8 in the Jumbo.

If you’re “excited about the Jumbo,” then go Jumbo.

Be warned though that if you go Jumbo over M6 you can't get the 90mm and you'll need to free xp it on the T29. PLEASE DON'T EVER play the T29 with the stock 76mm. It can't pen 80% of things and makes the T29 utterly useless as a heavy.

Couldn't have worded it better myself, but...

This! Although the upgraded turret is not as obvious as a weakspot on the PC version, since Blitz has penetration skins, I have a feeling the typical hull-down tactics with American vehicles won't be as effective with the Jumbo.

If you go through the T1, you be be able to research the engines and the second gun. The max 29 is amazing but the stock grind is a nightmare. It would suck the grind out with the 76mm at teir 9.

You have no idea how nightmarish a stock grind can be do you?

Just going through the T-44...

*looks at conqueror stock grind

A stock conqueror is basically a caernarvon at tier 9, and the caernarvon isn't great at tier 8. You need to research 32k xp for a turret that is less bouncy than the stock one, then have to research the 120mm gun.

Go with the m6, it has one of the highest healthpools at tier 6, and decent sidescraping ability

M6, sidescrape? What? That thing has only 40 mm of side armor and bad to terrible turret armor (it can be penned by an E8 sherman) I played it by considering it a tier 7 medium.
