It seems fine however the gun reload nerf was a little too much. The rest of the tank still feels fine.

Use the D10T gun... far better DPM and accuracy than the nerfed 122

Nerfs make total sense. I have unicom stats in T29, IS and KV3 playing almost exclusively solo all 3 of them and I for sure ain't no unicom. So obviously those tanks were unbalanced before. The most recent one of the 3 I played was T29 and I didn't even have to try hard to carry and win solo battles in it after I got the 105 gun. I was on autopilot just winning and winning any Tier 7 matches in it unless other team had unicom platoon or something like that.

 

On the other hand in any of any of my tier 10 tanks I am lucky to win two matches in the row and I have to really focus to do that. I actually have to check what tanks and players other team has and think what they will do etc. Not not with T29. Just do whatever default action is for any map and Tier 7 match win is guaranteed while playing solo. That's not right.

Yes, the IS nerf is very noticeable and trying to defend yourself is harder than ever now. The enemies know, and they charge right ahead while you're trying to hold cover, now that they know your reload is par with a T34.

With the average team composition, I guess I'll just park the IS next to the IS3 for the time being.

 This guy knows what's up.  People, just because they nerfed your favorite gun in the tank doesn't mean the whole tank is ruined.  There are 4 other guns to choose from in the IS, and one of them just because the best choice.  Sure, the D-25T used to be where it's at, but it is no longer.  The D10T is now the best option for the IS.  Same pen as the D-25T, lower alpha, but higher DPM due to faster ROF.  Better accuracy and aiming time too.

Don't just see a nerf and go "OH NOES!" trying to do the same thing you used to do.  Adapt and survive.  The IS is still a perfectly viable tank with a great gun option.

I owe you one, was so disappointed but just mounted the D10T and was top gun at Castilla against tier 8.  Reincarnated!

Bought the IS back.  Tried the 100mm gun for a few games.   Depressing as hell.   Doing 250 damage with shots that used to do 400 is not fun.   Sold it again.
