Liking the KV13!  Yes, getting credits.  It reminds me of the Victory, but with Tier 7 Attributes.  Quicker though, with a faster gun.  Same gun depression as Victory.

-3 on the KV-13 I believe, but don't quote me on it, the 120mm of front hull armor totally compensates for it.

Love the KV-13! Fun tank with a great gun...have yet to need prammo. By now I am comfortable with most maps and just avoid places that the depression would fail me--often times the flow of battle makes this impossible, but this is always the case. Only have a few games in it, but so far the tank is a great addition to the tech tree.

Had a look at its stats. -7/+25 with stick turret -5 with upgraded turret

Its good. Gives up a bit of depression, maneuverability, and a tiny bit of RoF for much stouter armor. Here is my take... Its stronger than the 43 against lower tiers, about equivalent vs 7s and 8s, but the added speed, RoF and depression of the 43 gives it the edge in tier 9 games. It seems like the most well rounded of the lower tier tanks that were added. A typical battle earns around 30k.

Some more info on the KV-13 that I've dug up:

 

• The stock turret has better gun depression (-7° ) but doesn't give you the good guns; the best gun here is the 76mm S-54 (the ZiS appears to be garbage) with lame stats... pen 125/156/39 and DMG of 115/110/165 for AP/APCR/HE.
• The upgraded turret has more armor (100mm frontal compared to 85mm) but less depression (-5° ), and allows mounting of the decent D5T-85BM gun with mediocre stats of pen 144/194/44 and DMG 180/180/300 for AP/APCR/HE.

 

For comparison:

• The T-34-85 has -7° of gun depression (all guns/turrets)
• The T-43 has -8° of gun depression (all guns/turrets)
• The T-44 has -7°, unless you mount the 122mm gun, then it's only -5° (less headroom for the bigger gun)
• The T-54 and T-62a -5° with Object 140 having -6°.

 

There are a few tanks in this game that, when upgrading the turret and/or gun, you get loss of depression like this.  Do your homework!

T-43 has -8 gun depression.  The T-44 is -5.

All I know is I liked my T-43, but I love my KV-13 fully loaded.  Great armour and good gun. The 13 flies like a Comit with better armour and slightly better gun (aside from the slightly slower ROF).   Well over 50% win rate in it, granted, I have 25ish battles in it so far, but loving it.

KV-13 is a great tank.

I like it so far, had to endure the first dozen battles in it with the tier V gun, which wasn't horrible but the top gun makes a huge difference. I'm nowhere near as successful in the KV13 as I am in the T-43, which is one of my faves, but I'm getting there. I like that this tank leads to a redundancy, it may deter people who want to grind up to tier 8 from acquiring it, making the KV13 a bit more rare. Time will tell. Very bouncy hull, turret- not so much. Seems more costly to operate than the T-43. Gun depression makes it difficult to get a good shot in hilly terrain. KV13 is probably the only soviet medium you can successfully ram with, and is something I highly recommend. Rammer, coated optics, and EGLD.

I'm (still) trying to decide on the KV-13 as a shortcut from KV1S  to T-43. Would hate to spend 2 mill credits on tank + equipment for a dud tank, and I have seen but one in battle. Little to no info on the forum.

Do you guys all give it a thumbs up?

 

I'm at the T-34-85 (no excess xp atm) and I'd like to get to the T-44 and T-54. From the T-34-85 it means grinding ~60k xp. While from a KV13 one only needs ~25k xp to move onto T-43 ... and my KV1S has a ton of excess xp.

Overall it sounds like you guys like the KV-13, is it worth grinding towards it using the T-34-85 or the KV-1S if you already have the T-43 and the IS?

If your just grinding the lines, no. If you have one and don't want to get through ealy tiers, it's a good option.

The KV-13 is great, but get the 85 asap, the stock gun is used by the KV-1 -_-.
