I honestly can't decide. I'm leaning towards the T62A, but I want to hear what other tankers have to say first.

jury is still out. People need time to play the 140.

I personally like the 140 more than the 62. It's faster, has better hull armour, turret is still strong, more gun depression, and 100 more health. The only thing the 62 has over the 140 is DPM (and a stronger turret but not by much if you know how to wiggle). I have 4300 avg damage in my 140 mind you only after 9 games and only 3100 in my 62 (after 1000)

The 140 seems to be more of a direct continuation of the T-54 philosophy of high speed, run-and-gun playstyle. It's got faster top speed than the T-62A (and yes, +5 kph is very noticeable) which allows for more daredevil, aggressive gameplay, as well as better gun depression (again, noticeable - I've successfully hulled down in places the T-62A could not) for popping in and out of cover. On the downside it's got a slower ROF and worse gun handling stats, although the latter of which isn't that horrendous. Turret cupolas are weak, but just remember to keep moving and you'll end up with a lot of shots soaring over your head.

I've only played 7 battles with it, but I like the way it feels. It's just the way someone would expect a continuation of the T-54 would feel like, albeit without the OP armor.

The only thing biased about my view is that I've yet to face against an Object 140...so therefore I know little to nothing about its effective armor values and such.

Both are great. Preference will depend on your style of play, but personally I like the Obj.

look at the stats- the front armor on the 62 is 102,  the obj has 100. I was under the impression the obj had better frontal armor. I Guess not.

One good thing about the Obj... It gives me another excuse to play the T54. ;)  (to grind the credits)

If it plays more like the T54, then it will be for me.  The T62 is cool, but it is a different animal from the T54.

The frontal armour is sloped better (effectively 240mm for the 140, effectively 200mm for the 62 I think). Also, the side armour is better on the 140 as well.

Ok here's my opinion on the two. They are even.

The 140  is a good tank but it will take some getting used to. It feels and plays more like a logical T54 upgrade than the 62 did. The extra gun depression does allow you to use different angles than the 62 but the ears(hatches) and top of the turret weakness on top make it tricky as you need to wiggle the heck out of it to get a bounce. The hull armor on the 140 is pretty bouncy and overall I feel more confident in the armor of the 140. The terrain resistance is pretty awful for a medium as is the reverse speed. This can lead to overextension because you might overestimate your ability to back up quickly or you ability to maneuver and CoD - a MAUS turret traverse was nearly able to catch my CoD...

So ultimately, I think 54 drivers will like the 140 better than the 62 because it plays a lot like a 54 but between the 62 and 140 I find them to be pretty even.

You pretty much took the words right out of my mouth brother.  I haven't run my 140 a ton yet but the battles I have run I kinda felt like.....Hmmm not much different from the 62 really.

I'll probably still keep driving my 4204 over both of them.

4202 can still bully them both up close :)

Obj 430 master race is disappointed. The 140 is cool but the smaller more armored 430 bullies lower tiers better. 140s speed is okay but not eye popping. Get a 62 and laugh at 140s trying to pen your turret armor.

I've decided to go with the T62A, as it has better traverse and turret travers, accelerates faster, has a stronger turret, and even though it has less gun depression, I can make it work. Thanks for all the suggestions!
