Perfect description of my IS now!

LOL, I was soo busy having fun with KV-2 (I got it like within a minute since I loaded the 1.11 update) I haven't played my IS/KV-3 yet.

I should try it now, well maybe after I one-shot kill a bunch of KV-2 disbelievers!

Someone else posted the only time to fear the KV-2 in about 2-3 weeks... after most of the new owners rage sell theirs.

Those who use the KV-2 long term will know how to make full use of it and should be considered serious threats.

Right now many KV-2s are easy to kill. Aim for the track drive wheels and let others load shells into the turret during the glacial reload time.

To be able to retreat is a key. I end up using my multipack 2-3 times per battle.

The KV-2 doesn't need a nerf. The only reason it ever hits anything is sheer luck, and the hand of Stalin rising from hell to guide the shell to its target. I've missed fully aimed from 100m plenty of times. And it has the SLOWEST reload in the game. Every slower than the JPE's gun. Plus it traverses both turret and hull at glacial speeds, and the tank isn't even fast in a straight line

I wonder if it helps if the HE gets a full pen? Because that would be something to consider. I one shot too many Cromwell's. Poor guys come out and have no idea what's coming towards them.

The SU-152 might be better because of faster ROF and much better accuracy (not to mention stellar Camo rating)

Right now the KV-2 has the perfect balance of an awful tank, awful gun handling, and amazing moments of hilarity when you 1 shot tanks of equal tier or lower along with intense moments of frustration when you miss from 20m to only do minimal splash damage to a 100hp IS-6 for the win

I feel as if KV-2 needs a little speed buff in reverse so it can hide quicker and that's it....it feels balanced to me

So far I hate this tank: the only good thing is high alpha but EVERYTHING else is between bad and horrible. You have to be close to hit the target but because you are slow, big and thin you can't get away after the first shot. SU-152 is more fun because it's more agile, stealthy and thinner--works great as mobile shotgun; SU-100Y is big but agile and has more precise gun so it does not have to be close. KV-2 sucks primarily because it has to be close but it can't survive being close and this is what spoils all the fun. I'm not sure if I'd be loving it (((

That's actuall odd. My survival rate on that thing is 46-47% now and it is next to only tanks of the KV lines (the Russian armoured monsters, like KV-3/4). My IS line tanks are not that high.

I usually play close second line support, meaning I'm just behind the front liners on the open maps or just beside them on the maps with obstacles like Rockfield or middleburg.

I am still total feast or famine in this tank.  No consistency.  For every 1 time I pen an HE shell and land 700 damage, I will splash 5 shots and get 280 damage.  I am still enjoying trying to figure it out, but by no means is this OP (to me)...

The KV-2 is awesome. I'm carrying tier 8 games in it. Getting 30k-35k credits a round. It's the easiest tank in the game to play. I'm getting 1550-1575 damage a round at the moment. It's not just a derp tank, it dictates rounds in tier 6 and 7. It needs to be accounted for. When the stats show up on wotbstars, I expect some guys with seriously high damage outputs, and win rates. 80-90% with 1800+ damage a round. Easy.

My very first game in the KV-2 was on Port. It was a tier 6 game, and I came face to face with a TOG, a Hellcat, and a Pz 3/4 completely alone on one side of the Port (rest of team had gone to town and hills). We engaged each other in a full out firefight but my opposition gave me the chance to reload between shots.

Spoiler: The TOG, the Hellcat, and the Pz3/4 all went back to the garage and I came out with the most XP and damage on my team.

I don't think the kv2 is op and I don't Wargaming will nerf it. It is easy to pen on the sides and back, and has large weak spots on its turret. It is a fun tank to play, I just killed a full health kv-1s, I didn't hit his ammo, I was using he.
