The news radio station in town advertises "Traffic on the 7's," meaning that they do a traffic report at 7:07, 7:17, 7:27 and so on. If you miss a traffic report, no big deal, because you know exactly when the next one will be. It got me thinking:

What if we did "Tanks on the o7's"?

Meaning, what if we all pressed "battle" at 12:o7, 1:o7, 2:o7, and so on? No appointments, no TeamSpeak, no fraught negotiations about time zones or battle tiers. When the official USA clock strikes --:07, any hour of the day, click "battle" and see who's there. You're never more than an hour away from an o7 time, right?

Would it guarantee a full roster of competent forumers on red and green teams? HA! No way. But it would increase the number of impromptu encounters, particularly if people were platooned already, since MM seems to like distributing platoons equally if possible.

Thoughts?

Awesome, I love this idea!

Also, to make sure we actually see each other, maybe set a tier? Say... 7? :P

Just remember, this could lead to horrible team imbalence. I crashed one of the countdowns by mistake in my cromwell and had newbed on my team in an IS-6 with christian1470 in the E25 #1, the rest of our team tricked in (on port) and consequenty newbed wound up with a kolobanovs and a radley walters (3 battered almost one shot enemies, a KV-1s, a black prince and a tiger 2) he did about 3k though.

nah, imbalance is fun, too. It's fun to play against folks you know......except whe they drive *%+%#€#  IS-6s :P if much rather die at the hands of a couple forumers than some random pile of Reds that I "should" be better than. Besides, it is never a forgone conclusion. Recently, another forumer and I went up against a unicum squad and ended up with the victory. :) ..........there was much rejoicing in chat, afterwards.

I've done this twice now, at 11:o7 PM and 8:o7 AM, and both times I've had at least two forumers in my games!

As for battle tier, I don't know. I'll stay with Tier VII for now, but we'll see.

I'm going to jump in again at 7 minutes past the hour, that's about 10 minutes from now. Check the the official USA clock and join me at Tier VII?
