Hey, I think this one is me.  Last week I chanced a game using my mobile network in my Easy 8 on Fort Despair.  6000 ping.  It was glorious.  I was running into walls, spinning circles, shooting dirt.

Scary thing is, I was one of two surviving tanks, and in the top half of damage/XP for my team...

Today I went to the bathroom and forgot my phone.

There are 256 tiles in the bathroom...

Gotta guard that contested Frontier!  They sat here for the better part of 90 seconds, guns aimed across red line, often firing wildly -- until the reds found and annihilated them....

Phantom tanks in the mist?  :-)

While this isn't exactly a unique position, he did kill a gawker while sitting here.

I probably am over-thinking this, but I wonder if WG has integrated an algorithm for calculating/integrating "cant" when one aims like this: IRL, the point of aim would be nowhere near POI (point of impact), especially at range. From that comment, you can probably deduce what hobby occupied many hours of my time in the past....

If you count them past my huge iPhone4 controls... 1, 2, 3, 4... they just kept coming up that hill, offering themselves to me.  I was flattered.

Amazed I'm not anywhere in here after the potato run I've had last couple of weeks. It's like I've had a stroke in some matches.

I think I know what you're saying and it's probably true. But if this were IRL, and not cartoon tanks, the crew would have much bigger problems. That ship isn't tied to the pier. The weight of the tank would push the ship just far enough to let the tank fall into the water. For all the detail WG puts into Blitz (moaning monks in monasteries, frogs croaking in the swamps, etc.) you'd think they would just tie that ship to the pier.

May I ask why?  Surely shell arc is negligable at the range of a hundred feet?  (just a WAG)

Come to think of it, I have no idea how the sighting mechanism of these tanks worked in real life - not quite as simple as looking down the barrel Hotchkiss style I'm guessing.

Very true, and I hadn't taken shell arc into account (that's a third variable for the algorithm).  I was thinking about rotation, changing the alignment of bore axis and sight axis (cant) vs. what it normally would be if the TD were more or less level. At short range, that too would be negligible, and I don't have the slightest idea how the sighting system worked in an SU.

As I said, i'm likely over-thinking this.  :)

^^^ Ha!

Of course, the clown train is led by someone with "winner" in their screen name. I'm sure he enjoys the same impressive level of success as those with "awesome" or "unconquerable" in their names.

The T-95 seems to be in the game merely to let everyone on both teams know who the window lickers are without having to look up profiles. If you ever push one, chances are excellent that you're an idiot. If you drive one and call for teammates to push you, you're likely an idiot too.

P.S. Speaking earlier in this thread about tanks' facial expressions -- how about that "look" the Hetzer's giving him!?!?
