So I picked up this thing on my grind to the T30, thinking it was gonna be a average tier 7 tank, not as good as the comet or anything. But wow, was I poorly mistaken. This tank may be my favorite tier 7, even above my beloved Comet. I have less then 100 battles in it I know, but why do alot of people hate this tank?  The gun, the gun is simply AMAZING. The shell velocity is very quick in comparison to any other tank I've played, its aim time is godlike, its accuracy is very good, it has a nasty rof, with 2369 dpm. It overall feels like an amazing, punchy gun. It has a decent turret with bad hull armor, but who cares, if you play it right you shouldn't be getting hit at all. And its decently quick, its not medium tank fast but not slow. The gun makes up for it all, best gun on a tier 7 (imo). And after 57 battles  (25 or so platooned) these are my stats in it.

You should have seen it before its hit points and ROF buff. Back then, it was a frustrating ride to lots of players because the gun was a slow loading liability rather than a strength. It used to play more like an overmatched Jackson than anything what it is like now, but now it's stuck with its initial bad rep, so you still don't see many out there.

 

From when I played it to barely 50% back in its dark days, I have since gotten it up to 57% after repurchasing it. No platooning at all. My one current frustration on the 25/2 is that it could carry a bigger gun, because you have to spam gold going up against tier IX, but then it would probably be OP at tier VII, and the devs seem to hate it passionately when any American tank is camped in that rare air.

 

Now, with a quick firing and still accurate gun, good elevation and great gun depression, and stealthy camo, it has become by far my favorite Tier VII ride.

I dunno. I don't have it but you give it a good review, Beast. It always seemed to me to be sort of like what Buick said, A bigger Jackson.

The ROF buff explains a lot. I went 1v1 against one in my comet, and we were basically trading shots every time I peaked around the corner. how could this be?, I asked, as I played the pre buff 25/2 and hated it. Now it seems they have turned it into an effective tank. Perhaps, when they buffed the tank, they should have automatically buffed my WR in it, too.

I remember playing the T25/2 before the buffs.  I grinded through this tank without ever platooning or even trying very hard and it was still fun. I think youre right, its definetely underrated as its gun is amazing and its pretty versatile save for the non-existant armour. I still hate it though and dont know why. lol

I never played it pre buff but I can tell u it's an absolute terror now in the right hands.  I'm near 100 games with it and my WR is in the low 70s. I love the thing.

I played it pre-buff and thought it was pretty awesome. I liked the regular T25 too though and people tend to hate on it as well.

I LOVED the 25AT! There is a hate thread of mine on the 25/2 that expressed how poor it was in comparison to the AT. I'm gonna have to give the 25/2 a second chance. Luckily, I held on to it, even though I hated it. Perhaps redemption is at hand.

Since the TD buff, they have gotten to be pretty tough.  Didn't they add HP to the TDs, too?  I know many of them use to be free XP before in a medium if you could circle, and now they seem to put up a much better fight.  I know I have had to adjust my strategy.

 

Why didn't they buff my T49?  It is totally underpowered...   (giggle)

The gun depression, ROF, accuracy, and (relative) turret armor and mobility... if not played as a brawler, I don't know why anyone would dislike it.

 

...yet it can still semi-brawl in a pinch.  It's bitchin.

I had it pre-buff and before I knew much about the effects of crew performance and upgrades. I hated it!!!

 

It was slow, couldn't traverse well and I had a hard time figuring out what to do with it. End result, I rage sold it.

 

Fast forward 4 months and I am a better player, I fully upgraded all modules, crew 100%, and the tank got a buff. Now I love it!! ROF combined with optics means I do a lot of damage before being spotted.

 

Several Mastery badges in it and carried a bunch of games. Turned a horrible WR into a respectable number and am ready to upgrade to the T28 Proto!
