Growers strawberry rhubarb cooler / Dr. Feelgood. What? What do you mean that's a girly drink? What do you mean you don't want to platoon with me anymore?

Oh- yeah- well Str8 is only drinking 0.05 ounces of Jack so what does that make him, huh?

hehe.

Thanks Doc- hadn't seen that'd we'd skipped a page so it took me a bit to latch onto your post.

That's the kind of feedback I've been reading from others in PC Blitz...

I'm travelling back home tonight so I won't be on much if at all- but tomorrow I'll be around a bunch!

I figured as much- just wanted to be sure. So... with you having all these 1337 H4X0R skills- any chance you could do me a solid and bump my damage ratio in my stats from 1.22 or whatever it is to around, oh... I don't know... 12.99?

I mean, even if you just moved that decimal point over one spot to the right I'd be pretty content. Couldn't be that hard right? Just rub a few 0's and 1's together and presto! Eno's a badass!

Very cool thread.  I'd like to join up! I will say that I can't really do TS3 - CINC-HOUSE will cause me a problem.

I am 44 with three little kids - a 4 year old boy and twin 2 year old girls... so I don't have a ton of time to commit - but I like the idea of platooning with some other mature folks with good attitudes!

Also, with a little practice you can use the in-game coms to get your main points across.

Also - Hendrick's Gin & Tonic (it is summer after all) and some good old AC/DC - Back in Black!

I'll probably need time to catch up to you guys in the higher tiers, but I've grabbed a few premium tanks as I tech up the German line to heavies.

LOL^ sounds good- had to ask. It's not every day I run into someone who ACTUALLY knows what they're doing on these silly things.

Eh Lephturn... obviously you're welcome to hop aboard with our gang of married men... or merry men... (mutually exclusive? meh!)

We do have quite a few with us who are adverse to TS3 and that's certainly ok! We all have our boundaries. Like you said, guys who are used to it can make it work.

In some cases guys might be hesitant to engage in platoons without TS3... I guess my biggest concern last night was that Carb was going to think I was being a snob and it wasn't at all what was going on. And we'll know soon enough when play styles work or don't work together- so let's make a Triarii pact that we won't take the declines personally!

Oh- and doc... 3400 battles... that's just awesome.

Got a favourite moment in those 3400 that sticks out in your mind?

Doc,

I highly recommend the Russian medium line it is really fun. I have really liked all of the line especially starting at tier 5. Hope to see you on the battlefield sometime.

ENO sorry I have been pretty unavailable the last couple days hopefully will have a little more free time to platoon with people in the next few days.

If there's anymore room in this clan of spry, bitter elderly folks for another oldster, sign me up. (And I've signed the community pledge, ironically right before stumbling onto this thread, unawares of their connection.)

30 years old, work at a literary nonprofit, and really, really enjoy WoT:B, but could use some older company. (That said, I've lucked out with my platoon mates so far, most of which I found here on the forum.) I really enjoy the tactical aspects of the game, and the different philosophies you can see at work on the screen/battlefield. I've been in some games where being patient and waiting for the enemy to make mistakes/reveal themselves has worked like a charm, and other times when it hasn't (to butcher some Art of War: sometimes you flow with the water, other times it flows over you). I waffle on the "stick together" idea, as I've seen it work fantastically and utterly fail. (Some smarter tanker than myself wrote on this forum, and I'm paraphrasing here, "Sticking together either is a TD or a TKO.") The games where people don't get too spread out and at least pair up seem to be the best.

I'm far from amazing at this game, but I have—thanks to some fantastic platoon mates and a fully upgraded T29—finally pulled myself back up above 50% victories (after a sad, disheartening plunge from just shy of 60% to 48%—it was an ugly, ugly ride filled with bad teams, IX tanks, and my own limitations), and feel pretty comfortable playing WoT:B. If you see me in the game, definitely drop a line. I enjoy platooning and talking about the games, even the demoralizing defeats, afterwards.

As I'm sitting at the bar drinking a beverage and reading the older post by some of these gents. I've come to realize that most of  you intellects seem pretty badass and I would love platoon up with any of you. I'm currently holding several 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s and a 10. My garage isn't really vast but if anyone needs help grinding up or just wants to have fun, let me know. I'm actually going back and buying all my fun little tanks back. I play this game competively and sometimes it's quite a joy just to ease up and have fun.

I've fought countless times, yet I've never met an adversary who could offer me what we Spartans call "A Beautiful Death." I can only hope, with all the world's warriors gathered against us, there might be one who's up to the task.

Hey Whip, I'd have a hard time keeping up with you in a platoon... you're fast and scary good.

[ Probably should not have dragged Whip into my vivid humor, so deleting this part of comment... ]
