Hey Stratman, that's fine.  We were probably responding at the same time.

Mobcrush.com/Str8UpJack - Wargaming has screwed over the veteran and paying players of BLITZ.. they are now offering Supertester status, Victory is back up for sale, deep gold discounts for bypassing timers... all these are designed to break the player's will to keep their wallet closed.. There will be more such offers all designed to continue to wear down the conviction of players.  Don't let anyone tell you sticking to your guns and not spending won't work... it will if you hold your ground.

Hey Str8,

The new site is pretty nice! You guys did a nice job. Do we have pic posting capabilities on the site yet? Was surfing around but did not see any guidelines. Do you know if we can use imgur as we do here?

had a huge run of defeats in my T29,32, many times I was left abandoned, tactics were nonexistent ,had a couple good games about 11pm eastern, seemed to settle down some.

Hmm - weekenders went to bed?

I was doing great all last week. WR creeping up steadily, then BAM, weekend hits and it gets ugly

Wish I had timestamped data of all my games to see if weekend really means anything or if we all just imagine it.

Also wish they could store more than last 10 games or so in notifications.

And in the past I have wished they could dump data for every single one of my games to a file (Excel or csv) so I could massage it however I want to

It is to the point where I wonder if I should play a lot less on the weekends, unless it is 3X, and then just play enough to get the 3x bonus each time

I doubt I would really do that. Probably just need to get in more platoons with you guys so I am on the same page with at least 1 other guy

Relating a game earlier today with HerrOverlord with me in my Jackson.  He was in his T44 and took out 5 enemy tanks before getting toasted.  Considering I got roasted in the first 20 seconds of the game yet somehow managed to pull in second in terms of dmg done, I'd say it was one heck of a performance you gave.  My hats off to you Sir.

Just made an account on the Triarii website since I was given the okay from Eno that I'd be allowed on the website. Whenever someone with admin privileges gets the chance, approve me, please.

Hey Guderian,

It's indeed difficult in anonymous pub matches to do very well on a consistent basis. Sometime the match team gels naturally and everyone does their job. Other times, there is no rhyme or reason, everyone runs off on their respective "solo hero" missions and dies quickly. All it takes is for one of the two match teams to have even a little organization (not to mention, some skill!). Platooning for me (while I am pretty much a noob platooner), has been better in that you can work closely with a brother Triarii and share tactics, cover each other and fight as a unit. Even with that, if the other 5 match members are fragmented, you stand a chance of lasting a bit longer, and hopefully dealing out more damage.

I think weekends just bring out the "armchair tank drivers" or "weekend tankers" who don't give a hoot or have a clue about how important teamwork is to consistently win matches. As Iv'e said before, lets not forget that many of these players are probably kids who've grown up on Call of Duty death matches, runner/gunners who just dive in with guns blazing and don't understand the concept or strategy of working as a team.

That was a fun one on Rockfield - I am always a bit ambivalent about heading up to the bunkers.  I mean, I always do it but I am never happy about it!  (Much like Fort Despair - I dread "The Chute" but since I am in a heavy, it is where I go).  PutnamJavi, I look forward to more runs in the future!

That said, platooned with Holy_Avenger just now for some TS3-less tanking and all in all we did well.  As seasoned Triarii, we understood our roles (he in his JagdTiger and me in my IS-8) and worked well just using text and relying on our muscle memory in-game.  We typically died in battle but had top 3 in damage done and we won way more than we lost.  Good times . . .

So lets discuss IS 4 line that's expected out in 2 weeks compared to the Is7.  As far as I can tell, the IS4 seems to be the Heavy Tank solution the Soviet line has thus far lacked.

Comparing it side by side with the IS4 value on the Left and IS7 value on Right as follows:

  • Hit Points:

2500 vs 2150

  • Armor: (Front/Side/Rear)

140/160/100 vs 150/150/150

  • Turret Armor:

250/200/170 vs 240/185/94

  • Turret Traverse

26 deg vs 28 deg

  • Gun Dmg(Reg/Gold)

390/465 D25T 440/530 M62 vs the IS7 490/640

  • Penetration

175/217 D25T 258/340 M62 vs the IS7 250/303

  • Rate of Fire

5.45RPM D25T & 5RPM M62 vs 4.38RPM

  • Damage Per Minute

2125 vs 2146

  • Engine Power

750HP vs 1050HP

  • Max Speed (Forward/Reverse)

43/14Km vs 59.6/15Km

Upon further inspection, some key differentiators become evident.  The IS4 is heavier and has a higher HP pool but the armor improvements are almost neglible.  Seems to me you'll have to really hull down & sidescrape to only expose the turret before you see the armor come into play.  Although the higher gun packs more of a punch.  This is def a brawling tank.

FYI I failed to account the 2 guns in the IS4.  2nd gun info added.

Yes.  The next patch was just submitted to Apple for review which is a 2 weeks process.

You can use any image hosting site.  You can also use Dropbox, unlike this forum ;)

we could a lot everyone server space but I think we are all used to hosting out images elsewhere.  I also feel that since Dropbox is allowed, it makes it very easy.

Just make sure you out all your images in the PUBLIC folder and copy the public share link.
