make a point of learning how to do the "Circle of Death", practice often...

I've basically mastered that. I can't count the amount of times people have gotten mad because I stop suddenly and reverse direction, causing them to fire where I was. I even implement medium tactics in the IS-8 and previously, the IS-3. Their maneuverability allows me to play the aggressor and defender.

ENO, Here is a PNG of your file with background set to transparent... I am going to try and send you the PSD file via PM... if it doesn't work, send me your email address and I'll send it that way.

OK.. PM me your email address as there doesn't appear to be any additional support for sending files via PM.

I'll let you know... we might send you the original file to maintain image quality. I'll take a look at it and get back- it may be fine as is.

Was getting a little tired of micro stutters etc on and off of TS3 so I went hunting for a good deal on an iPad Air. Found one for a good price lightly used and all hooked up with it. Just dying to try it out.

Last night, I also grinded out enough EXP to get the Tier 9 gun on my IS8... so now it's time to get my other stuff in order ie: Tracks, engine, turret.

I have read a lot and thanks to guys like Doc I went into the IS8 knowing I need to treat it like a heavy medium tank instead of a brawler like its smaller nephew. I can see why guys get frustrated with it- but knowing what the tank is intended to be helps to play it properly. Oh, don't get me wrong, that has absolutely not stopped me from getting my [edited]handed to me but I'm enjoying it nonetheless!

Just be advised guys that while updating some of my local wireless infrastructure I have had to take the TS3 server down for a bit. I just need to get the new router configured properly.

It should be back up shortly.

You never got the BL-9 on the IS-3? I thought you had it when we platooned...

I mean the UPGRADED upgraded gun... that other 61k EXP monster. Looking back at it I see it's actually a tier X gun!

Ah okay. I don't mind the IS-8 at all. People say it's a bad tank, but I enjoy playing it. This game proves it can hold its own:

I'm interested. Just turned 51 and have been playing armor war games since, well, 14. My team came in 2nd in the armor miniatures competition at the Origins game convention in...1977. Ugh.

Started playing WOTB recently and still getting the hang of it. TS3 sounds awesome.

Ts3 issue was sorted out and all good. Please use at your leisure!

Full hardware upgrade today and I'm stoked since it changed the experience about 10 fold. Oh, I still suffer and lose plenty... But I look MUCH better when I do!

So I took the excellent banner that Eno and family came up with and added my name and slogan.. put it up as a test to see what others think.. I think the banner could be made larger in width to meet the 468px and that WOTB logo could be moved out.. it's sized at 100px high in the sig below.  I dig it!

Okay gents- homework assignment:

Str8 has pretty much hit the final version of the banner and unless there is some deep seated resentment regarding its design we'll stick with it- or something VERY close to it.

What I need you guys to do is think of a slogan / saying you want associated with your banner- submit it to me via PM and we'll put it on your banner. We'll then send them out for use.

Wow... I took advantage of the special credits the lower tier tanks are getting this weekend and finally got rid of the DW 2 and sent it where it belongs in the scrap pile.

Are any of you grinding out any tier 5'ers?  The stupidity of the players in the lower tiers is more mind numbing than watching episodes of barney clockwork orange style.. I felt like I was going to lose my f'ing mind watching KV-1's pull onto a cliff to snipe and do NOTHING till the last minute of the game.. or my entire team on MINEs all climbed onto the little ledge by the southern spawn point.. THE ENTIRE TEAM..  I started raging over chat so I just shut down the iPad to keep from saying something unbecoming of a Triarii.  But, boy was I steamed up!

I've had a Very bad day on the lower tiers as I started up the American TD line (halfway through the Wolverine now). It didn't help that my 75% crews suck and I was grinding better equipment, but heaven help me there were very few games that I actually enjoyed playing. I had to mix in some high tier games just to maintain my sanity and (not very good anyway) win ratio.

As an aside, I tip my hat to anyone who has had the staying power to get to the T95. I don't know if I'll be able to keep at it, as they seem to die soooo quickly and easily, especially with my play style.

I suggest the following slogan:  "Rem ad Triarios redisse". Translation ="it has come to the triarii"—signalling an act of desperatiion.

theres also this one: "ad triarios redisse", "to fall back on the triarii", meaning that things had come to a desperate pass but I prefer the first one.

I can put something like that on the main banner- or is that what you want on yours?

Sometimes, the stupid behaviour is just small kids playing on their big brothers or daddies ipad on the same account, I guess. it is obvious, that not everybody takes this game too seriously.  As for myself, I am still playing Tier V's mostly and the M6. I have a hard time with the latter. The higher (Tier V+ ) Tanks are really bad in their stock configuration, so it takes a long time get the crew better and the equipment updated.

I am playing all lines currently, German medium/heavies and TD, Russian mediums and heavy as well as the TD and the US heavies. I sort of enjoy the TD and the heavies, but struggling with the mediums (in particular the T-34 that many like). I did have some really good matches with the T-34 spotting and flanking, which is what this tank really is designed to do. I haven't done platooning yet, because of limited time available to play consecutive games.
