Edited my post identifying those who are interested.

A couple of thoughts off the top of my head about requirements for joining.

30+ (Preferred but I'll never say no to an old soul with some thumb-eye coordination)

An affinity for teamwork and a love of competition

Signed / acknowledge Integrity's pledge to do our part in keeping the forum a positive and non-threatening environment for those who respect its politics.

Language on TS3 (assuming this becomes a part of it) MUST be kept on the level and respectful- non vulgar / rude. We were able to maintain this on the DCSW side of things and with the exception of a few errant outbursts (let's be serious here, we've all carpet F-bombed by accident on one occasion or another) things were immaculate and clean. I endeavour to keep our comms in line with that standard.

I don't foresee any need to isolate people to the clan or restrict participation in other clans since I think the concept is attractive enough to stay engaged with it by default. I don't care if we ever win anything- but we WILL take a fight to the enemy and we will emphasize cooperation and coordination.

I recommend in preparation for the inevitable that you test drive "TeamSpeak3" on your portable device... see if it will work. Open mic or voice activation will be required since it will be impossible to select a hot button.

As for who is going to lead this rickety old wagon into the great beyond- whether into existence or into nothingness... I am among the least experienced but I do love the team concept and am 100% in support of bringing on the absolute newest person to the game, or most weathered veteran... My only expectation on the DCSW side was that the new be open to listen and the old be open to guide.

If we get into a situation where we have more than enough people for 1 (or 2, or 3) different divisions of people who are interested at different levels... (Grinders, noo85, "Stay off my lawn," etc...) then we can segregate into smaller groups with specific interests while proudly displaying the [Triarii] banner on our names. This could be condensed into [TRI] or even [iii] (since there are 3 i's in the name don't you see).

Normally, a group of people need structure in order to develop vision, and vision needs focus... and focus needs a goal... and the goal needs to be identified by a leader, and a leader needs structure (and repeat)... but what is our goal? We want to come in, work together, win some and lose some- learn some lessons and do a little better each time. How much structure do you need to pursue that objective?

Anyway the whole focus is to get a group of like minded individuals together to play a pretty fun game at a relatively casual level. I think the rest can sort itself out.

I agree with everything you have to say ENO. I just look forward to playing with my fellow Triarii regardless of skill level. Let's all work together communicate and I am confident we can all learn from one another and get better at this game while enjoying ourselves! I have added everyone listed on ENO's post above to my friends list. So if you see me online don't hesitate to ask questions or platoon if I have the time.

I have played quite a bit of mmo games in the past so I have quite a bit of experience with them.

I look forward to seeing you all on the battlefield.

You not only hit all the right notes, Mozart, all the feeling in there, too. I think you'll make a very fine clan commander.

Just join the TRIARII CLAN channel for now. I don't expect much traffic on the DCSW side since the server is down for now.

Let's get things started on an informal level. I have to run out now but if anyone gets a chance to get in there and try it out let us know how it works!

Enjoyed the commentary by you young guys. I am 63 chronologically, but always a kid at heart. Old farts of the world unite. I don't know what to unite for, because --- I forgot. Have fun and maybe we will join up on the battlefield. I will be in the grey tank, wheezing on the side of the road.

EXCELLENT Gary- It is a beginning. I will be heading up north to work tomorrow but the server is staying on so TS3 will be open. As we move forward I will make certain clan members know the channel password so that we aren't eavesdropped on by the undesirables. I will keep that in PM among clan members.

With that said, if other clans are seeking TS3 capability, then please feel free to contact me and I will arrange a password for a specific channel. My server is running as close to 24/7 / 365 as I can make it... and runs on an internet connection that has PLENTY of bandwidth to spare up and down.

Anyway- just drop me a PM and we WILL make it happen.

This is gonna be the scariest clan in the game.

The only thing scarier would be a clan made up of your guyses wives :D

I'm embarrassed...but we have to study all day and night, while the old guys (despite their work) somehow have time for everything.

Just a little tip on using TS... I don't run TS on my iPad2 since it's a little old and can hiccup while trying to run two things at once.. Here's what I have done and it works great.

I have a mac and installed AirServer 5.0.6  ( airserver.com ).  If you have AirPlay then that may work the same way.  On my Mac, I run TS which is free on PC/MAC.  Plug in my headset w/mic and boot up TS.  On the iPad, I start up AirServer and select my macbook ( no mirroring, just audio ).  Now I can listen to both apps at the same time even though I'm using two different devices.  AirServer does cost $15 but it has capabilities AirPlay doesn't.. i.e. you can record mirrored footage which would make recording your matches possible.
