So, is it 100% gonna be 7 on 7 every time, or might it be 4 vs 5, or 3 vs 4 etc.  In the news blurb about Clans it didn't really say that.  I guess one would assume it would be always 7 on 7.  My Clan only has 7 members and I doubt we'll be on all at the same time.  And will there be Clan Wins and Losses?  I don't know that's why I am asking.  Hopefully some of you guys can give me the scoop.

Tier 10 - E-100, IS-4, IS-7, Obj. 268

Tier 9 - E-75, IS-8, M103, ST-I, Obj. 704, T-54

It will likely be 7 vs 7. If you bring less tanks you are crippling yourself.

It will likely be measured as a separate record to your normal WR.

Then again, noting is confirmed, so take this with a grain of salt.

I am hoping that I can recruit more people IN GAME via the features in update 2.0.  I am very interested to see how its all gonna work.  I wont get too disappointed if the clan isn't up and running right away.  I got time to get it all set up.

Pretty much. You have at the very LEAST 4-6 weeks. so it isn't a huge deal

Will they be drawing from the WOB Stars Clan lists, or will it all have to be set up again through the game?  I updated the 2 new members I got today.  Only 7 so far.  But I hope more laid back casual type players wanna join up.

Set it up again. Unless you registered in June.

Didn't know they had a pre registration in the game for Clans.  I emailed the WOT Blitz Stars guy and registered the Clan that way.  Oh well no biggie.

If new game modes are introduced in Blitz (i.e. team battles, tank companies, etc.), there may be options in playing different types of battles such as 3 on 3, 5v5, etc. But for now, expect the standard 7v7 format.

Don't want clans cos this is not "Clash of Clans" better to have bigger platoons instead,

Just saying

To those who "Camp"....You will miss 100% of your shots if you don't take any.

After reading this I still have no idea how clans are supposed to work.

Are clans just an easier way to find platoon mates or when I play as a part of a clan are all the members of my team fellow clanmates?

You might actually be the ONLY person in the forums who hasn't been waiting for clans to become official on wot blitz. They sure seem popular on the PC version and every time an update is announced people are asking about clans, clans, clans?

Right now, in the first implementation,it is really just an easier way to find a platoon mate. You do get a tag after your name in battle, which is nice. Later on, there will be clan wars. We still don't know how it's going to be, but we do know some of the things that won't be coming.

Yippee, i could actually be "Unique" with an opinion that doesn't follow the herd? :) Not totally against Clans but the Hierarchical nature of the structure with a Leader who dictates and "hires and fires" at will etc etc.

Bigger platoons however should be considered because this would give the oppourtunity for 3/4 like minded players to team up with out the nesscesity to join a clan,  although I guess MM would struggle

I have been advocating for bigger platoons myself, but for game balance that might require only letting them play in larger battles (ie company sized battles)

Frankly I would like to see platoons up to 4 tanks and company battles up to 16 or 20 tanks per side. THis would probably need bigger maps as well, in other words it would be a lot of work for WG so I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

Bigger platoons cannot be in blitz to the current 7 v 7 format that WG has at the moment. And clan leaders aren't supposed to dictate there clans. If you find a good clan like some I've found in PC you'll find clan commanders that listen to there clan members and don't kick people for no reason.

Totally agree with the extra strain on the game this would introduce, in particular if it is played on older gen phones etc still it would be not too great a problem to increase platoons to 3/4 then if people like the idea of a clan it could conceivably be created from this player base. All members would be aware of each others game play without the need to "Fire" (remove) if the Clan Leader/co leader disagrees with someone or has a bad hair day.

Agree but finding a decent clan and sticking with it would be simplified if we had 3/4 man platoons - for all the reasons stated before.
