My wife is from Poland as well, from Gdansk. We went there last summer to visit her family and also toured around Warsaw and Krakow. Fascinating place. Learned a ton of WWII history that we were never taught in American schools, particularly about the plight of us Jews in Poland. I lost a lot of family in Austria during that time, but still, what the Polish Jews went through was nothing short of astounding.
I took about 8 weeks of Polish lessons before we went over there, and learned just enough to be able to say "I'm sorry, I don't speak Polish, but my wife does!"
And Anachro: You gotta get the "flushable" ones (of course, not for use in a septic system).
What a fascinating trip that must have been! I've been watching the series of programs about Auschwitz on AHC. I'm always astonished at man's inhumanity to man. I've found myself becoming depressed watching those programs.
Orangeburg pipe is something else to watch out for in older houses.

Fascinating and very emotional, for both of us. She wanted to go see one of the camps, but I couldn't do it. Knowing that I'd lost family members at both Dachau and Auschwitz, I just couldn't stomach going to one of them.

That is why we play together - because we all understand that. Now when we hear your wife lose it through TeamSpeak we will laugh and needle you about it - but in a good natured way because most of us have been there.
I've been playing over TS with no headset with another Triarii with no headset (we had to tank and mix drinks for our wives) and the two wives proceeded to talk over TS and make fun of the two of us. It was pretty entertaining even if it was at our expense!
That's Awesome, My wife's best friends husband is the one that got me into the game over the holidays. We both get (cuss word) all the time, to the point she ask if we're going to have our cyber tanking date tonight....

Now put your jammy jams on, daddies putting you to bed!

I called it last night, I think supply drops are going to be a fixture in the shopping cart. I could see about 5 different price points.
On another note I did have two almost identical games, one last night and one today on break, last night I lost 18K today I brought it 21k. no provisions with either game.... I find this odd.

Was in Poland in 1994 and it was very interesting to see how they were doing and all. I would imagin that it has changed in that the polish money was outragis then. I stayed away from the camps also That part of history needes to be remembered but not experianced in my oppinion.

I've played a few games today hit and miss as you were. I am very disapointed and loosing interest realy fast. I got in a game this AM in a Tiger 2 Of course I am the one that found the main body of Reds. I was angling and side scraping and bounced a couple of shots then out of no where I get onshoted dead. got big fat ZEROS for the game and that was a good game???????

I'm actually going to be visiting Dachau tomorrow or Friday. I can imagine the idea would feel very different if I had lost family to the Holocaust. Sorry for your losses.

it's sad but I got excited when I broke even... I didn't drop any credits but I'm not sure how I'm going to afford that new T110E5 I've been researching or the Object 140 I've been drooling over.

Yeah everything is pretty normally priced over there now. It was around 3 Polish złoty to $1 USD, but once you get used to converting that in your head, things cost around the same as they do in the U.S.

Thanks. Thankfully my grandmother and grandfather were able to escape. My brother sat down with my grandfather a few years before he passed away, and got him to tell a bunch of stories of what it was like over there in the late 30's and early 40's. My brother recorded it all, typed it up, and sent it around to the family. What they went through is absolutely mind-blowing.

I see all the comments here about wives...reminds me of advice my Dad gave me when I was young.
He said that Marriage is like a hand of cards in Poker...
you start out with two Hearts and a Diamond
and in the end all you want is a Club and a Spade

Hey Memphis I saw you tried to contact me yesterday in game sorry I missed you.
VryStrawberry good one, I love my wife but like last nigth I was looking for a fitbit and kept getting an oppinion that I was not wanting to hear. Of course the fitbit was due to a doctor telling me get it off or start injectibles. Not happy about that.
HAPPY TANKING
