So yeah. The day before yesterday I decided bollocks I'm advancing down the American Heavy line. So I used all that experience I grinded on my T29 and got myself the T32. And since I had about 50k free experience I of course got the tier 9 turret and the suspension cause why not? So far this tank is really eh. I play this tank mostly for fun and not really all that seriously. This is my go to tank for not so serious gameplay. So what I can say was this tank was everything I expected it would be.

Average acceleration, average gun, average penetration if not subpar at times for a tier 8 heavy and just all around averageness. The turret is very strong but I do suffer the occasional cupola penetration but really my main beef with this tank is the gun selection. Sometimes, I find myself having to just spam APCR to pen tanks as the standard penetration is only good for side shots. Over all this tank was a expected disappointment but this is my fun tank. I dread the oncoming M103 grind. Seriously this tank needs a better gun if anything else. 198 mm of pen at tier 8 sometimes just does't cut it. But that's just my 2 cents.

Any suggestions on how to play this tank effectively will be welcome

Btw if you were curious, the Best Tier 8 heavy tanks for team battles according to the suggestions of a super pro WGLA WOT player on PC are the IS-3, T32, and the French AMX 50 100. I already have the IS-3 now I just need to get that AMX 50 100.

And this video was made to inform why the other tier 8 heavies some of which we all know very well are somewhat less suite to team battles.

I wouldn't focus on that if I was facing a hull down T32. Just saying.

Welcome to the great-mediocre (with LESS?!?! dpm than T29?!?!?) tank you've purchased.

Hull down, obviously.Wiggle. Move back and forth.

Good news is that tier 6 & 7 Soviet meds will have trouble with your frontal armor :)

I thought that tank was amazing and I plan to keep it after I finish the grind. My first 19 games were wins, but that's besides the point, the T32 is a hull down beast and has some pretty decent front armor that you can bully tier 8 and 7 with. The DPM is also remarkable and I always try to keep the gun firing at all times. I'd recommend a half and half AP/APCR ammo loadout so that way you have no problem penning and can really use the DPM. As for bullying, it's very hard to circle and it's great to face hug other mediums or other heavies. The gun depression is also amazing, use it to take advantage of every hill and hull down spot available.

This was my first tier 8 and I really wanna buy it back to see what I can do in it. I was pretty good with it when I didn't know what I was doing. I unfortunately sold it to buy the M103 (didn't have a premium account way back when).

Sounds like you got great advice - although personally, in that line the m103 was the magic wagon for me, plus of course the superb E5.

It's limited a lot to hull down tactics which may make it boring in many people's eyes.  But just imagine that ball of red the enemy sees when looking at your turret.  And laugh :)

But in the T32 you want to face-hug. The depression and turret armor is all there.

Nope, doesn't have less, in fact has 18% higher DPM.  Better accuracy and aiming time too.

Tier VII - T29
Gun ROF Low Dmg High Dmg   Low DPM High DPM Average DPM   Low Pen High Pen Average Pen   Dispersion Aiming Time
105 mm Gun T5E1 5.00 232 387   1160 1935 1548   148 247 198   0.42 2.7

Tier VIII - T32
Gun ROF Low Dmg High Dmg   Low DPM High DPM Average DPM   Low Pen High Pen Average Pen   Dispersion Aiming Time
105 mm Gun T5E1 5.88 232 387   1364 2276 1820   148 247 198   0.41 2.3

That said, the T32 was a bit of a disappointment for me.  The T29 is a monster at its tier, but the T32 is not nearly as much so in its tier.  I sold it the second it was elited and Aced.

I recently re-investigated the T32 for same reason EdAWACS did.  Thanks for all the advice - keep it coming.

WriterDude, is "magic wagon" trademarked yet, or otherwise in common WOT Blitz usage?  Fantastic phrase, man!

Used to hate the T32 till I started playing it like a heavy medium. For me it was a completely different play style than I was used to from the T29 due to the higher tier. I went on an abysmal run right off the bat for the first 10 games going 3 for 10. Finally when I realized I had to change the play style I started playing much better and was able to pull off a Mastery Ace Badge at battle 39.
