Great ideas mike! We as a clan are very friendly and open to helping. However, I'm sure we'll learn pointers from other players as well....were not all worried about stats. Please don't reply negatively, just keep your negative junk to yourselves:).

T18 is a tough tank... Seriously underpowered and can't compete with other Tier 2s. I feel ya.

Anybody out there know what to do with a Caernarvon on flat maps? I get smoked on Middleberg, Lost Temple, and RUINED on Port Bay, because all the cool kid heavies go to the areas with flat landscapes to sidescrape and brawl, but I need to be hull-down always or my ammo rack explodes.

Would love help from anyone better than I am in this tank. Almost everyone is better than I am in this tank.

Please send me a message here in forums or in game. I am usually on mid-mornings and late evenings (Pacific), so I know that's kind of a pain for players on the East Coast. I'll try to make it work, though. Thank you!

That's really solid of you guys to offer. I might even have to ask to subject you to my horrible gameplay in ISU152. I free xp'd the BL10 and still can't handle it. Nothing like the SU152.

Cheers!

The trick is to not go to flat areas and you have to look for those spots that offers protection to your lower plate. Best case scenerio in middle burg is everyone goes to the hill and you can use the tank to its potential. If everyone goes to town depending on the spawn you can still hull down in the back hill area. If you get the bad spawn and everyone went town then try to hang back a bit and support your team.

Turret or Engine?

You need the turret to mount the top gun so get the turret.

About the ISU your spot rate is pretty high for a TD, ideally you should not be the one that spot the enemy and I can only think of a few maps where you could get spotting. Also it looks like you might be rushing your shot too much, those big td guns have long reload and you should make each shot count. More importantly if you are up close and playing it like an assault gun make sure you can get back in cover after every shot. Many mediocre td driver rush over a ridge or building to take a shot, miss the shot and take half hp worth of damage for their trouble. Don't be that guy, wait for enemy to be engaging someone else or better yet already fired and then move out of your cover and place a well aimed 152mm shell into their belly.

I am able to turn out consistent 3-4k damage game in my m46 Patton no problems whatsoever.  I have trouble with the m48 though.  It is not a conventional medium and I can only put the view range to use on dead rail.  PLEASE HALP MEH

I truly feel for you guys that are grinding stock tanks in tiers 3-9. Add me (2ya) so you don't have to Yolo Q it.

My advice on the tiger 1 would be to get the engine first, because that tank is slow and has weak hull armor, so you'll need the extra speed that engine gives you to get into cover fast.

Thanks Ace. Appreciate the offer and will hit you guys back soon. I ran some with Blank in his T-44 spotting. I don't think I held him back too much :hiding:

Cheers for the platooning Blank1586. You rock it! o7

P.S. Thanks for the analysis/tips eutectix. You are right on the rushing shots and I'll keep all this in mind while grinding this tank.
