It won't let me trade gold for free experience no mater what I do it just doesn't happen.

Well you need experience in a standard or premium tank first to get free XP. Also a standard tank must be elited to trade XP.

I have at least 6 tanks in my inventory, I'm not a  newbie, I just want to up grade a little so don't be a p r i c k and have fun.

What is your highest tier and what do you want to free exp? To the next tank or research modules?

It's not converting gold to free exp, it's converting normal experience from an elite tank to free experience. If none of your tanks r elite, then u can't convert any exp. ur tank is elite if it has that wreath around the icon, or if uve unlocked everything possible on that tank.

Hi welcome to the forums 

 

You may want to excuse some of the remarks on here. But with barely over 1k battles, you may also want to listen up a bit.

 

Converting to free xp requires actual xp on one of your tanks. BUT, that actual xp can't be converted until it can no longer be used to upgrade any modules because they are all already researched. This is known as elititng a tank. Only elite tanks can have their xp converted. All premiums are elite tanks, same with most tier 10s, and any other tank that has ALL the modules (and the next tank[s] in the line) researched. Only then can leftover xp be converted.

 

Quick check of your stats reveals that you may not want to rush through all the tiers that fast though. Keep training through some of the lower tiers, read some of the guides on here, and take in any advice the unicums post on here.

you forgot to add that you have to have the following tank in the next tier researched too!

that's "kind of" a module too. I meant that EVERYTHING has to be researched, and you know that

Kewlstory covered it man! You need tanks with all modules upgraded, plus the next tank in line for a tank to be elite. Premium tanks are already elite. Xp earned on these vehicles after eliting it can be converted.

 yea this is not the same thing as general channel. Start saying some words and you'll soon enough get a warning. 10 warnings and you're out of the forums....FOREVER. (Huge controversy on the forums recently because of such a case)
