First off I love the game- it can consume hours of time before you know it & this is a 5 star game bit rated with 4stars because I have 30 Mbps download speed confirmed by speed test but the game lags horribly at times. It got MUCH worse after the update so the update needs to be updated. I see pings of well over 1000 down to about 100 when it lags. The higher the ping the more it lags. My ping on speed test.net is usually about 30-40 ms. WHY ARE THE SERVERS AT WAR GAMING SO SLOW? With the huge number of players paying for the game those servers should be the best that can be bought. I will quit playing if no fix & I have Been playing since launch over 4 weeks ago.
Fix the lag & game will be fun again. Also needs to update and enlarge fields as well as add new ones as it gets boring seeing the same thing over & over & over again.

1. I'm having no problem with the servers so maybe check your device? 2. Playble map size will be increased by 25% in future updates along with new maps. Just out of curiosity what device do you play on?

I am using the ipad 3. Game never did this until the update. I have cleaned history, disconnect wifi, etc & still happens. Like I said the speed test that I run has low pings & 30mbps

It's weird but normal. On every game even in ps4 the ping I check on the phone speed test is way lower than the ping in any game I play. And be patient updates are a lot of work

I've also been getting ping problems as well. Usually, it's at around 250 but recently, it's been staying at 300. Sometimes, it spikes to 400 and over.

Guys, this game is optimized for iPhone5 + so iPad 3s may still lag, same with iPhone 4s and even iPod 5s

No I think it is their servers. I am using an iPad mini and iPod 5th gen and I get 150 ping on both devices. Doesn't affect gameplay too much, but it would be nice to get rid of that lag.

150 ping isn't lag.

iPad Mini user here.  Good pings (30-80 ish on average), and no lag unless my device is not getting a proper signal.

I am in central Canada.

I'm fairly sure that your ping will be lower when you aren't using the internet as much. Like, if you check it while you aren't playing, sure it'll be down to 10-15 ping, but once you start playing and cut your bandwidth it'll get a little slower. Also has to do with the other people using internet in your house.

Surprisingly, the game lags when I'm on my iphone 5 over a wifi network that's not my home.  I use LTE and the game works fine.  At home and on my ipad 2, I have no problems over my wifi.

Thanks for the input. Our bandwidth at home is such that 2 people can be playing online games, 2 streaming video- Netflix, etc- & another on our Ooma internet phone with no lag in any of them. Very occasionally there may be a slight lag in one of these, but when I am battling on WOT BLitz it lags MUCH more than anything else. This is their servers I think as if you ever run Speedtest.net if you get a server that is slow, the speed test is slower everything- Ping, download, upload, packet loss, etc.  As I also said in original post this did not occur prior to the update. Hopefully this will be fixed on next update.
