I've only been playing for a couple weeks, and have been playing only the TD line. Like everyone else, got the M3 Light Premium last week. Obviously a Light has a different strategy of play than a TD. But since I've played only TD's all along, I have no idea what the strategy of a Light should be. So give me your best Light tactics.

Scout and flank!  If teamed with other lights, hunt in wolfpacks

Scout and flank is what I've been trying to do. But the "don't get killed" part- that's another story LOL. Seems that the instant I get a good flank, I'm suddenly the main target of the entire enemy team. I run as fast as possible, but sometimes you just can't out run those shell LOL

Funniest one was when I flanked a TD and was able to sit right on his backside. He never moved or attempted to turn around, just sat there. Problem then became that I was only doing about 20hp damage each shot (got 5 into his backside before his team swarmed me LOL)

Hmm, I would have to say that playing conservatively and passively until the battle develops is the way to go.  Move to a position not farther than halfway across the map to initiate contact.  Once the engagement is under way, try to engage vehicles from behind the frontline of combat.  Other tanks will draw attention from the opposing force and you can shoot at tanks that are already being shot it.

The faster that you can help your team to take guns out of the fight, the better. Everything snowballs from there. :)

I'm not too good with it yet either.  When I've seen good light tank drivers I notice they NEVER stop moving. Ever.  This is not a stop and shoot tank. If you do take cover you should be bouncing back and forth, popping in and out. You can use this to try to get a heavier enemy to fire and miss, then use the time to flank or circle.

Unfortunately this is something I learned by watching good M3 drivers kill me.

I like to battle one enemy at a time, and take advantage of the nice reload speed. Also, the frontal armor is effective against most lower tier auto guns. When encountering a much heavier tank, it's circle time, but assistance from teammates is almost a necessity.

It's fast. I love it. It's speed is the key to survival.

When I can, I do just that. It's so fast that shells just whiz by and if you're a good aim you may get a few decent pens while you circle the lot. Though, erring on the side of caution, I don't do this in every battle but it is fun! ;)
