Hey all. Last, but not least, here is my review of the new Japanese Premium Tier V Medium tank, the Type 3 Chi Nu Kai aka the Shinobi. I reworked the commentary to address some of the questions asked in the various posts yesterday. From what I see the forums are about 50/50 on the paint job, so feel free to disagree on that point. I tried to do an objective review so that you know what's in store should you decide to pick up this tank. o7, chaos

EDIT: I believe this tank will be available between September 17-October 2.

Nice job, Chaos!  I notice you didn't mention that the Kanji symbol on the back of the turret says "Shinobi" or translated into English, "ninja". :)

I thought I heard it meant "potato salad." Without being able to independently confirm that is what the kanji says, i.e. I am not able to read Kanji or have someone I trust confirm that is its meaning, I decided best to not include that information.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!

I've also heard from random internet sources that it means "potato salad."  But that was probably from some guy that doesn't even know what it means and is rather scrupulous...

Whatever the case, we should probably tell people in game that it means potato salad.  It's the safe thing to do.

I do not have the exact number, but that sounds about right.

The wiki also confirms these numbers.

Which is funny. Japanese tanks normally have bad elevation and excellent depression.

Chaos thank you  very much for that review it was very helpful. The last thing this old man needs is a thin skin medium. I'll stick with my Russian mediums until I see how this Japanese tank does in battle with someone else dropping the coin needed. I'm not afraid to spend cash to enhance my wotb experience, but after rushing to buy the E25 I'm being a little more carefull with my pin money.

Hmm, -6 is kinda garbage. On the plus side, the extra elevation makes it better for shooting the Stuka on Castilla

I sometimes drive Warships too.

Good review. Too many these days are just advertisements. Its nice to see someone pointing out the negatives as well.

Thanks Gus. I included the stuff that I would want to know about the tank and it would have been a disservice to the community to not include the negative aspects as well. I do note that the video was reviewed by WG staff prior to release and there was not even a whisper that the negatives be removed, so props to them for asking for a review and allowing me to make it in that fashion.

All I can say is WOW. The best video review I have ever seen. Thank goodness WG has at least one guy in club WG that knows what us common folk want to see in a review. Thanks for taking the time to make it and sharing it with us

I got this tank and i absolutely LOVE it. What he says is true about the speed and armor, but it is a very good money maker, and has a good gun.
