I don't tell positions but I have sent a global "AFK" in in-game chat to late the opposing team know there is an afk left, but only when there has been lots of time left and they are capping trying to draw out the last tank..

 

I don't say were the AFK is located but I let them know that they can get the win without capping.

Reporting AFKs still doesn't seem like a problem to me, but I see enough disagreement that I will refrain from doing so in the future. I am a little surprised though as I thought it was accepted practice.
