Since you don't like it, you should start a new line. And don't buy premium time. Just grind the line from tier one. Take your time.

IS-7 was my first Tier X and I did aweful in it the first 60 or so battles. So I parked it and ground other lines for a couple months, then came back to it. During that time, I read up in it, learned I should never angle the tank, try hull-down, use its speed, etc. when I came back, I still struggled some, but I was able to put into practice what I had learned and now it's one of my favorites. It is one of those tanks that require some time to get to know its quirks.

Not sure what he's complaining about, those are very respectable stats for any Tier X tank.

The IS-7 is certainly not a bad tank, but it's not a really good tank either. The lack of good accuracy and aiming time coupled with the terrible penetration really breaks the tank for me. The IS-7 is a good tank for beginners because of its easy-to-play playstyle, but I would recommend the IS-4 for more experienced players.

The pen on wot blitz on AP shells is amazing. A little better than t110e5. What i cant stand as you mentioned is the accuracy+ terrible apcr round. I mean even the apcr on the e75 has better pen than that of the is7.

While I'm not disagreeing with you about the IS-4 being batter for a more experienced crowd, the IS-7 has the highest pen on an AP round for tier 10 heavies. Players who've played the whole line from the KV-1 will know that it teaches players how to angle, how spaced armor works, and to fully aim shots. Also, the grind to tier ten is similat to the M48 where the grind as a whole is very easy, but the tier ten is "low ceiling".

To all the people who say hull down is op, everyone can still pen me with gold, except Meds, which still flank me.  I keep getting random bounces and my stats would be much better if this thing didn't bounce randomly when it should pen (example- the e100 UNANGLED turret cheeks which for some reason always bounces no matter how carefully I aim

Notice how the E100's cheeks are red, even unagled. It's odd that you can't pen that.

Because you're a good player who knows how to angle and maximize your tank's efficiency. The IS-7 is a better tank for noobs because you have pre-angled armor, good alpha/ROF balance to encourage either brawling or trading shots, and acceptable speed. All of the "pro tactics" like angling and sidescraping can be used more effectively in the IS-4 than IS-7, while all the "noob tactics" like sitting in one place and just firing at whatever moves is better on the IS-7.

Uhhhh, on flat ground at point blank range, by E50M with its 270mm of pen can bounce a slightly angled IS-7's lower plate. And even with HEAT ammo on the E50M, I can't frontally pen the turret unless I get lucky with a high pen roll. And the shots not penning is just down to bad RNG.

I used to think the is7 turret was invincible till some heat rounds from my e50m penned the areas right around the gun mantle. I still think the is7 is great but that e50m is probably my go-to tier 10 for pure fun (though it's far from my best performing tier 10).

The IS-7 can just point everything at the enemy and can bounce and do damage. The IS-4 requires angling and wiggling and terrain abuse to stay safe.

yea but tier 10 prammo will still go through the hull of both. At least the is4 will hold up a bit longer because of its bigger hp pool.

Well, it's easy to make a mistake when you never say what kind of round you're shooting...

 

Get closer to him. Accuracy problem solved. Or just shoot the rather easy to hit rangefinder, I do it all the time in my IS-7 with AP.
