OK so I got my t29 a few days ago and I hate it my wr in it is like 13%, my lowest so far I have the 90 mm gun but it is so slow I can't play it well. I die in like the first min of matches bc every is so much faster and I am never on a map to hulldown or I can't get to a position fast enough,  if anyone is willing to to on with me plz help or some guidance I really need it,  I heard this tank was good,  not true.

This tank can literally do anything. Get the engine And tracks ASAP and with the top gun it's a monster. You can face hug hull down, side scrape, angle in a brawl. It literally is one of the best tier 7's give me a couple days and I'll toon with you on team speak and give you some pointers

The tank is indeed good, but like every tank is not as good when stock.  I would be willing to platoon my T29 with you to help you through the grind.  Whats your crew at?  Are you running it fully equipped?

All tanks are bad on stock. T29 is a hulldown beast so you gotta always hide that hull. And for easier grinding, I suggest go TRACKS,engine, and then gun. The tracks HELPS A LOT.

In all honesty, looking at the number of battles you have fought, I would suggest going down a few tiers for a bit.  Get some much needed experience with the game and then try your luck at higher tiers.  Trust me, you don't want to do it like me and rush to high tiers.  Take the tooning offers though, these guys can help.

The first thing I upgraded was the 90mm gun, that extra pen and damage are very useful. Next I upgraded the tracks, because that 5 degrees per second extra traverse speed it a live saver. Also you don't have to upgrade the turret right away, the sock turret is still very good. I actually do not use the 105mm on my t29, the reason for that is that the dpm of the 90mm is really good, 100% crew the dpm of the 90mm is 1,928.25. Where as the dpm of the 105mm is 1550, now you will need to learn the weak spots on tanks, and also take more premium ammo, also the increase in pen using premium ammo is only 2mm between the 90mm and the 105mm. The biggest thing to do it to get hull down, and not just your lower part of your hull, the entire hull. There are some really good spots, if you are low tier, in falls creek and mines where you can hide the entire hull of your tank behind a rock, but still shoot over the rock with your turret only exposed.

I would personally recommend you do the tracks first, that helps so much more than the extra pen and damage.

I would love the to on help and I will go down to lower tiers but don't see the need, I play and own with my IS 6 but hey it is Russian, and they do play differently, but it may just be the stock part, I also have the equipment of rammer, GLD, and debating on vents or vert stabilizer.

I would have vents if your crew is below 90%.  I also find vert stab more useful than Gld but that's just me.

1) upgrade gun and Turret ASAP

2) Find a digger and hide the hull

3) Get chips and Guacamole to snack while reload.

4) Repeat until mastered.

 

T29 is one of the best (If not the best) Tier 7 tanks and the best heavy for sure.

Don't ever judge a tank until you have it fully upgraded. The T29 can be very, very effective if used properly. I am by no means a great player, and my WR with it is 71% over more than 500 battles.

Stop. Stop right there. Never, under any circumstances, judge a tank based on its stock performance. All tanks suck when stock. Wait till it's fully upgraded, then pass your opinion.

Yes you have an IS-6, but the problem is you are not doing well in IS-6. Why? I guess you rushed up the tiers too fast (like I did) and cannot compete in high tiers. Your performance in IS-6 is below average on wotbstars. Take their advice and go play some more lower tiers. It's for your own good. (and others on your team, too!)

I will do this,  go back to tier 5 and start there.

Get the tracks!  The T29 is terrible until the tracks are done.  Then get the engine.  The turret traverse nerf sucks, but what can you do.

Struggle through stock grind or free xp it. Stock is horrible, nothing you can do...

I have never noticed a bigger difference of upgraded TRACKS on any tank. It's like night and day.

You do well enough in the IS6 to have 55wr in that tank; but you don't "own it" in tier 8.

 

Have a look at your stats and game results in wotbstars. There's a whole lot of orange, red and even black there. Which is normal for somebody with just a thousand battles. But what it also shows is that your overall survival is not good enough, your wr per tank isn't close to fifty, damage, kills, ... all below where they should be, and you want to better there to do well higher up. 

 

The advice seems solid to me. You're moving up a bit too fast, and need to practice some basics low - mid tiers. As of tier v you'll be -1-2 up to four out of five battles, the grinds get longer for crew and modules, so you need to have your techniques down better to help the average team secure a win. Otherwise you may find yourself in quicksand.

I'm going back some tiers to work on my stuff, thanks for the advice, and I'm starting back on the kv1 and sticking on it for a bit and going back to very early tier americans

It's one of the "BEST" Tanks Get that turret upgraded. Platoon with another who has that tank, and watch. You have to be patient with it.
