Prequel:

 I wasn't going to enter this contest, just enthusiastically watch how it went down because I'm not certain I'm qualified.  I do enjoy the occasional anime, but I don't know nearly as much as many of the other people in this thread.  The extent of Japanese Culture that I know is basically that DK doesn't stand for Donkey Kong in Japan, it stands for Drift King... and when they fight their hair turns blonde and their power level goes over 9000.

 

I do know the internal workings of the Mitsubishi 6g72 internal combustion engine better then about 99% of the world population though, and that's got to count for something, right?

Either way, I wanted Zennosha to have the most entries possible, so I'm tossing this one down despite the fact that I can't marry her unless I moved to Utah and changed my religion to make polygamy possible.  I'm not certain if that disqualifies me or not.

Anime - Final Fantasy Advent Children (Although let's be honest, we all know her from Final Fantasy Seven)

Okay, this is the image that flashes through my head the minute someone says Tifa...  Because this is what I grew up with.  Long legs, short skirt, Midriff bare, and a smile on her face... while she punches people.  How can you not love that?  The hours, days, months, years of my youth that were spent playing video games were never wasted when she was on the screen.  In a genre filled with comically large swords and special attacks, all she needed were her two fists to hold her own in any fight.   

 

CG art:

At this point in time, Final Fantasy Seven has a cult following of Epic Proportions.  Because of that, Tifa never gets old, dull, or worn out.  And even though she is continuously being "re-invented" she can still rock the original wardrobe.

 

Fan Art:

Admit it.  You'd act up in her bar just to get escorted out.  You would brag to your friends that she beat you up.  And then you'd be back the next Thirsty Thursday to do it all again.  Coyote Ugly has nothing on her.  Nothing.

 

1) She owns a bar.  (I would like to point out that singular reason right there should pretty much win her this contest.)

2) She knows her way around a set of Brass Knuckles.  (I'd imagine just in case a bar fight breaks out, right?)
