I just use my EarPodsetup with the inline mic that came with my iPhone. I plug that into my iPad and it works great. :)

So does everyone in the game has to have this setup or is it more of a speech to text thing? That would explain how some players can play and message their life story at the same time during battle, lol.

It is actual voice comms - not speech to text. Only a small minority of players use voice communications. In most cases it will be between those in a platoon.

Some folks can just type crazy fast on their phone... not me, but some people can.

if your making the server on an iPad you could just make a temporary server.

idk, but if you go to the address voice.teamspeak.com ,join the channel, click on the default room, then add channel and lastly enter all the server info. It will take some time for the other person to find it though. also the new channel will be removed if you leqave the channel.

That's not a temporary server, that's a temporary channel on a PUBLIC Teamspeak server. Not the best idea.

Just use ask a clan to use their Teamspeak.

OK, I get the basic idea of TeamSpeak using your laptop or PC. You plug in your headset with mic and talk to another person while you're in battle provided you're in the same TeamSpeak "Channel" or whatever. I can also imagine that this setup doesn't allow you to hear any in-game sounds since your headset is plugged into your laptop or PC and not into your iPad where the game is. I guess you could turn up the volume on your iPad so you could hear it past your ear phones but wouldn't that cause an echo in your mic?

So I'm wondering if you use TeamSpeak 3 on your iPad, does that allow voice communication with your partner at the same time as listening to in-game sounds since your ear phones (and mic) are plugged into your iPad? If so, that would be worth the $5 it cost to get TeamSpeak 3 on your mobile device since in-game sounds can provide valuable information like whether you bounce a shot or land it. Also hearing that a friend or foe is capping is important audio info.

Someone using TS, please help by letting me know if you have to pick between hearing your TSpeak partner or hearing in-game sounds or if you can do both at the same time.

BTW, Lephturn has a great podcast discussing WOTBlitz called "Tank Boom". Everyone here should subscribe. It's my favorite podcast!

Thanks.
